Julian stood over Marcus's lifeless body, his fists clenched so tightly his knuckles turned white. Jasper leaned against the wooden wall, his expression grim, while I knelt next to Marcus, my mind racing.
"This doesn't make sense," I murmured, my voice trembling. "Marcus has been with you for years, Julian. Why would he betray us now?"
