Julian winced, clutching his wounded shoulder as I pressed a makeshift bandage against the bleeding. His face was pale, his usual confidence dulled by exhaustion.

"Julian," I said softly, trying to steady my trembling hands. "What do we do now? We can't keep running like this."

Julian grimaced, his voice tight with pain. "We regroup. We find a way to finish this. Your uncle can't win."

Jasper snorted, leaning against the doorframe with his arms crossed. "And what's your brilliant plan this time? Another ambush? Another betrayal waiting to happen?"

"Not now, Jasper," Julian growled, his eyes narrowing.

"No, let him speak," I said sharply, turning to Jasper. "If you have something to say, say it. But make it constructive, or shut up.

Jasper straightened, his face hard. "Fine. We need to stop reacting to everything your uncle throws at us and start playing offense. You've got those documents, Skylar. That's leverage. Use it."
