Skylar stared at her phone, the chilling message from her uncle on repeat in her mind. Julian leaned over, his voice firm. "We can't let him win, Skylar."
"He's already lost," she replied, her eyes glinting with determination. "He just doesn't know it yet."
Jasper, riding in the back with the twins, smirked. "She's right. That b*st*rd doesn't scare me. Let's finish this."
Julian gave him a sideways glance. "For once, we agree."
Skylar spoke, a hint of urgency in her voice. "Come on, you two. Let's focus; we must disable whatever trap he's laid before we have no options left."
Tense, they drove into town as the twins dozed in their seats.
They reached an abandoned factory at the outskirts of town, one connected with her uncle's business dealings. Skylar adjusted the strap of her bag and turned to Julian and Jasper.
"This is where he's hiding the evidence of his crimes. If we can get it, he's finished."
