I couldn't deny the fact that I need to intervene. I left the hospital and reassured Mei that she'll be going to the family meeting tomorrow.
I met up with a friend of mine. He's the son of the Cheng group family Head Mr.Lu Cheng.
"I've got a lot on my plate". I had nothing to hide.
"And what might that be?". Xiang Zhang asked.
"Well you remember the woman I slept with while I was drugged". I stressed my words.
"You mean Mei". I was surprised he still remember her name.
"Yes, she's pregnant with my child". I cut straight to the point.
"Are you sure she's not trying to pin the pregnancy on you". I almost had which thoughts but she's clean.
"She lost her virginity to me". I told him, clearing his doubt.

"And I told her I'll be join her family meeting just for protection". I am certain her family will do everything in their power to get of the child if they are to find out in any way.
"Well why don't you just introduce yourself as the father of the child and ask for her hand in marriage". It didn't take him up to a minute to give me such a wonderful reply.
"You like her, don't you?". Of course I like her.
"I don't think she likes me as a man rather
I think she likes me as a person". I noticed, being kind and understanding is one of her characteristics.
"As long as she's pregnant, she'll comply". Well he is right.
I went back to my manor, had dinner and waited for my Grandpa. He has the right to know.
"Master Jung, your grandfather has returned". After report grandpa return Mr.Chau left.
I told my Grandpa everything he needed to know about my relationship with Mei, he felt a little bit hurt that I didn't tell him sooner and that Mei is in a confused state.
Grandpa simply told me he had bad blood with the feng family because of their greed for money.
He told me he did business with them during his youthful time but was deprived of the privilege of being acknowledged for his effort, so he refused to do business with them ever since.
I got lots of gift prepared for the occasion.
Mei POV
I was granted permission to attend the family meeting but my mind was unsettled. Mr.Jung was going to attend the meeting with me.
After arriving at the Feng Villa, Mr.Jung told me to go ahead that he'll make his way to the guest room, where the meeting will be held.
"Mei, I see you look as elegant as ever". I was surprised to see Kang here
"What are you doing here". I looked straight into his eyes and said coldly.
"This is meant only for family members". I knew this gathering was fishy. I only want to know how they have been.
"Mei please calm down, we invited him here". My stepmother said descending from the stairs.
"Why did you invite him". I question her.
Anger was already boiling up in me.
"He wants to reconcile with you". Reconcile my a**. I'm already over him and I love my life the way it is right now.
"If you have nothing important to say, I'll take my leave". I said to mother while looking at her blank face.
I was about to walk out on them when I was suddenly pushed from behind. Expecting a sharp pain from the fall but none came. I felt someone hands gripping my waist preventing me from falling,
Only to look up to meet gaze with Mr.Jung, my breast brush his firm muscled chest.
"Hmm, I-I'm sorry". I removed my hands from his shoulder.
"And who are you?". My stepbrother Lu Feng questioned Mr.Jung. So he was the one who pushed me.
"I'm Jung Ling". Mr.Jung introduced himself before saying.
"And I'm here because she will be my wife, I also find it disrespectful of you to raise your hands to a woman. No, my woman". I was shocked with everything unwrapping it self.
"You.. You're the one Mei had an affair with two days after our marriage". What was kang saying.
"How do you know?". Jung didn't disagree
"I remember the person in that video never removed his mask, but you knew who he was exactly". Jung said with a smirk, showing that Kang just exposed himself.
