Diana sighed, realizing that Alice genuinely didn't understand and recalling the apology she'd made her give earlier. "You don't have to know," Diana replied carefully, "but if you really want to, I can tell you. Just know you shouldn't tell anyone—and even if you do, no one would believe you anyway." Her tone was serious, her silver eyes narrowing slightly.
