Chase shot up, staring at Diana. "What do you mean we've been married for three days?!" he exclaimed.
The people in the cabin behind them might have overheard if not for Lila's relentless flirting with Alice. At first, Alice remained strong-willed, trying to stay focused on the task of spying on Chase and Diana. But Lila's charm was proving difficult to resist.
"Oh, why is your face so red?" Lila teased, leaning in closer. "You know, I date girls. And you just so happen to be my type. Smart, a bit uptight, shy… but eager to explore new things," she added, listing Alice's traits with an almost uncanny precision. Lila had a habit of reading people far too well.
Alice's cheeks flushed furiously as she backed away slightly. "I think we could make a great pair," Lila continued with a sly smile. She chuckled at Alice's reaction before relenting. "Fine, I'll stop for now, but don't think I'm done pursuing you."
