Change was like a constant reminder that today you may seem to have it all but nothing stays forever. One day you will open your eyes and that pretty little world of yours will be non existent. It will be nothing but a distant memory lost in history.
I had a perfect world once, it was all rainbows and butterflies. Until one day those rainbows faded away and butterflies turned to dust. My world was lost and there was nothing I could do about it. I stared at the woman in front of me, the silver dagger in her hands did not bother me even though it should.
I studied her, she was way too old which meant I was obviously stronger than her. All I had to do was to set myself free but I had to be patient because they could be more. I needed to know how many they were and If this Roman character was as dangerous as she made him seem.
"So this Roman is your Alpha I take it?" I asked calmly in a groggy voice
She nodded "yes and you trespassed. Not everyone survives that but you are going to wish you had died" I didn't even see it coming, in a second she stabbed my thigh with the damn dagger.
I cried out loud, "bitch!" my head pounded and the silver burned inside my flesh "I am going to enjoy ripping you to shreds!" I laughed. She did not know me at all, I stared at the dagger stuck in my thigh and sighed. Pain was nothing to me now, it was just a reminder of how destructful the world could be.
"another crazy rogue" a younger woman walked in. More women, great. This one had dark hair and it just reminded me of the raven girl who stole my man. I rolled my eyes as I relaxed my body in the chair that I was chained to.
The old woman hummed "yeah, she is definitely unstable. Funny she survived actually. Grab another dagger Nina, let's see if she breaks faster than the other ones." she smiled. I shook my head - and I am the one who is unstable in here?
Nina laughed and grabbed a dagger "mother you know the Alpha hates it when we play around with the prisoners" she said handing her mother the silver dagger "OH she stinks!"
"Don't worry he doesn't even know we have one. I think I can fix the stinky little problem" the old lady said standing up. I watched her closely, number rule is to always watch your prey. She grabbed a bucket and walked out. I turned my attention to Nina and smirked until she started fiddling with her fingers. Good, I made her nervous.
The old Woman walked back in and Nina frowned at her "I don't like this one mother"
"Nobody likes rogues Nina," her mother said and poured a bucket of ice all over my body. I growled in annoyance, seriously they were getting on my last nerve. I started pulling at the chains despite the silver burning my skin. I knew by now my skin was all red and bloody but I was fuming. I didn't have time for this, for these pathetic weak wolves.
So I screamed, yes I screamed and shouted like a crazy person. I could see the panic in the woman's eyes and that is what I wanted. She ran towards me and slapped me hard "shut the fuck up!"
I growled at her and screamed even louder. I hoped whoever she was afraid of would pop up even though I didn't have a plan after that. I just prayed to the moon goddess whoever they were they weren't as crazy as these two.
I smirked when I heard large footsteps and four men walked in. They were obviously werewolves and quite hot to be honest. They looked like desert warriors dressed like soldiers. One of them narrowed his eyes at the older woman. "Catherine, what is this"
The woman 'Catherine' widened her eyes, she was nervous "it's... I found her trespassing!"
I laughed, "in a desert?" how does anyone trespass in a desert. They couldn't have seriously made a desert their territory... unless they are all crazy.
"she smells like a rogue and she looks like one too." another one said, he had ginger brown hair and a lot of freckles dotting his face.
He sighed "Donavan grab her and bring her to the dungeons in those chains"
I remained calm as Donavan came forward. He had jet black curly hair and the lightest brown eyes. He grabbed me after releasing me from the chair. The two women watched nervously, they looked like two kids caught doing naughty things.
"and these two?" Donavan asked
"I will deal with them later" the ginger head growled. He was annoyed clearly. I gathered the two women were always getting into shit.
Donavan pulled me along with them as they walked out. I almost stumbled as I tried to catch up with their long strides. I squinted my eyes as the sun suddenly hit my eyes when we walked outside. Oh this was pure hell , I could see the heat coming from the red soil and the empty land. No trees, no plants and no sign of animals.
How could this be a werewolves territory, it was not in our nature to survive in such a place. They led me further away from the two women's cabin. My mouth was already dry again and my wolf was still weak. She hated everything about this place. We arrived at a cave, well it looked like a cave. Which was kind of weird if you asked me, I looked back and there was nothing. Everything looked the same.
These wolves were amazing, it was fascinating how they knew how to navigate through this hell. I needed to be able to do that If I was ever going to get out of here. They dragged me with them into the dark cave. My wolf was still weak so I could hardly use her sight to see in the darkness so I didn't even bother. I just let the wolves drag me for what seemed like hours.
After a long while there was light, that horrible red hot sunlight. I squinted my eyes again I preffered to have stayed in the cave. They dragged me again and I looked back... my heart stopped. The cave was gone, this had to be some sort of witchcraft. I looked forward and there were tents and people. There were cabins as well, my face lit up a little when I spotted plants and a tree. It didn't look so empty after all.
"Welcome to Lockwood territory little wildling" the ginger head said with a smirk as if he knew one thing I didn't.
