On what seemed to be an ordinary morning in a not-so-ordinary world, a baby boy was born, a baby that would, in the future, instil fear into everything within the universe.

"Where am I? Who are these people? And for god's sake, why am I so small." This is what Leo tried to say, but instead, all that came out was a verse of baby cries.
"He is a healthy young boy" " one of the people within the room said as she handed the newlyborn baby to a beautiful woman who seemed to be about to pass out from exhaustion. "He's beautiful,", the woman said as she stared into the baby's eyes. "Don't you agree, darling" She continued as she looked up, locking eyes with a tall, well-built man sporting an unbothered expression.
"We will know when he awakens at the age of five. Until then, he is useless to me" " the man responded before walking out of the room with the same expression on his face. As the man left the beautiful young woman looked back at her baby with a hopeful gaze of pride and expectation.

[ Five years later ]
"Today's the day I will finally prove my worth to that old man and bring pride to my mother", Leo thought as he jumped out of his bed and sprinted to a room in the corner of the giant mansion. "Mum, mum, it's finally the day; I'm going to awaken and bring pride to you", Leo yelled as he looked at a sickly blond woman asleep in bed hooked up to multiple machines.
After waiting for a couple minutes with tears in his eyes just hoping for a reply even if he knows one will never come. "Don't worry, mum, I'll become strong, then I'll cure you, then finally we can be together again." After giving his last regards Leo slowly left the dark room with tears in his eyes.
After five years in this world Leo has been able to gain some information regarding his new life. The world that he is in now is very similar to ancient Earth but with a couple of differences. On this Earth in the 13th century, multiple changes happened as portals appeared all around the world,allowing monsters to invade and bring humans close to extinction. But with these portals came mana and the system awakening abilities within every human on earth above the age of five. These abilities allowed the humans to slowly push the monsters back, regaining their land and eventually reaching peace.
The year is now 2024 and with the advantaget of mana and the syste,m humans have developed in a different direction than modern Earth. In this Earth technology progressed nowhere, people instead focused on furthering their abilities getting stronger and stronger to adventure into the portals and obtain magical items known as relics. Such people that go into portals are known as adventures.
My father Thomas Windward is an A-ranked adventurer the the leader of the mid ranked guild the Ares a guild. My father made this guild through years of hard work using his ability of ice manipulation which allowed him to quickly raise to the A-rank.

After a couple minutes of walking Leo arrived Infront of two giant doors. Leo knocked on the door and said in a calm voice "Father It's me" After waiting half a minute a domineering voice responded "Enter" After hearing these words Leo slowly pushed open the towering doors and walked inside. Across from the door, a man could be seen seated at a desk looking over documents this of course is Thomas."Are you ready" Thomas said not even bothering to look up.
"Yes" Leo responded in a monotone voice. With Leo's confirmation Thomas appeared behind Leo placing his hand on Leo's back causing a certain energy to infiltrate into Leo. This process is known as a forced awakening and is used in the modern era to ensure that every child is awakened.
