Alexander returned inside the mansion, his footsteps echoing softly on the polished marble floors. He found Anna sitting in the living room, flipping through a book. When she noticed him, her brows furrowed slightly in surprise.
"Did we have a visitor?" she asked, her tone curious.
Alexander hesitated for a moment before shaking his head. "No one important," he replied casually, brushing off her question.
Anna tilted her head, studying him as though trying to gauge the truth in his words. She didn't press further. Instead, she asked, "Why aren't you at work today? You never miss a day."
Alexander allowed a small smile to curve his lips. "I have something more important to handle," he said cryptically. "But I'll be at work later."
Anna frowned slightly but nodded. Before she could ask another question, Alexander turned to the maids standing nearby.
