Chapter 13 - Interview Begins

Suman continued, "Mr. Kabir is the founder and owner of USRC, the Universe Science and Research Corporation. While USRC needs no introduction, let us inform our viewers about its immense contributions to the world. Over the past decade, USRC has played a major role in the development of many amazing technologies and research, such as the groundbreaking 3D virtual teleportation technology. Currently, work is underway on multiverse and teleportation technology as well."

After a brief pause, Suman asked Kabir, "So, Mr. Kabir, my first question is about today's trending news. A video of yours is going viral, where you claim that traveling through the multiverse is now possible. What do you have to say about this video, and how true is it?"

Kabir responded, "Such videos are very disheartening. This is neither the first time nor exclusive to me; such fake videos surface every day about actors, politicians, businessmen, or even ordinary people, which is quite unfortunate. The video going viral about me is fake. We know how easy it has become to create such videos these days. If a common person watches it, they might believe it's true, but there are software tools that can detect such fake videos. For instance, when my AI car assistant 'Plato' analyzed this video, it identified it as fake."

Kabir continued, "I'm sure even you can tell it's fake just by looking at it because you likely have a built-in fake video detection feature. Regarding the truth in that video, it is true that we are striving to solve the mysteries of the multiverse. However, it is entirely false to say that traveling through the multiverse is currently possible. We hope it may become possible in the future."

Suman asked, "The video might be fake, but could the information in it be true?"

Kabir replied, "Let's assume your point is valid, but tell me, why would I and our investors spend billions on this project only to keep it hidden? No. I want to clarify that we have been working on the multiverse project for several years, dedicating our days and nights to it—not to conceal this technology but to provide a better world for the inhabitants of this Earth."

Suman remarked, "Your project is being financed by Mr. Kant, who handles things quite mysteriously. Could it be that he is behind all this? Everyone knows Mr. Kant thinks far ahead. What is your take on this?"

Hearing this, Kabir hesitated, with beads of sweat forming on his forehead. After a moment's pause, he replied, "I will only say this about Mr. Kant—he has never interfered with the multiverse project. Whenever he calls, his first question is, 'How far has the work progressed?' And my answer is, 'Sir, we are trying our best and will soon be close to success.'"

Observing Kabir's nervousness, Suman said, "Are you feeling anxious? Would you like to take a break?"

Kabir responded, "Yes, I feel a bit nervous, but please continue with the interview." Hearing this, Suman asked her next question, "What are you afraid of?"

Kabir picked up his glass of water, took a small sip, and said, "What kind of question is this? Anyway, I fear many things, but the first is darkness, and the second is AI."

Suman, being an AI robot herself, understood the implication but remained unfazed. She said, "My next question is: You said traveling through the multiverse is not yet possible, so how can we believe the multiverse exists?"

Kabir replied, "Research conducted worldwide suggests there is a 70–80% probability of the multiverse existing. Numerous experiments indicate its presence. Personally, I believe there is a 99% chance that the multiverse exists."

Suman asked, "When research suggests a 70–80% probability, how can you claim 99% certainty?"

Kabir said, "I have been working on this project for 10 years, which gives me confidence. In fact, I am 100% certain of the multiverse's existence."

Suman then asked, "If traveling through the multiverse becomes possible, how much would it cost for an individual, or would it be free?"

Kabir answered, "I can't say how much it would cost, as we haven't thought about it yet, nor have we considered whether it would be free. Time will tell."

Suman further asked, "Is it necessary to travel through the multiverse or make Mars habitable? Wouldn't it be better to clean and beautify our Earth instead? What do you think?"

Kabir replied, "I often think about this too. But the truth is, we never paid any cost for being on this Earth. Everything here was free, which is why we don't value it. However, when you go to Mars or the multiverse, you'll have to pay for everything. For example, I recently read about someone on Mars who was sent back to Earth for littering, fined $5 billion, and had their Mars visa permanently revoked. We should have protected our Earth in the same way, but we didn't, and now we are in this situation, making the multiverse and Mars necessary."

Suman agreed and asked, "Your corporation started a time travel project about 2–3 years ago. Can you tell us about it? Is time travel possible, and what is the project's status?"

Kabir said, "The project is still ongoing, and we have achieved some shocking results. However, I can't share much now as it would take a long time to explain. If you want details, Dr. Pallavi, the head of the time travel project, can provide them."

Suman asked, "What should people know about time travel?"

Kabir responded, "There are fewer theories about time travel than there are paradoxes, which completely negate the concept. Do you believe in predestination?"

Suman asked, "What does that have to do with time travel?"

Kabir replied, "It does. That's why I'm asking—do you believe in fate or destiny?"

Suman answered, "No, I don't."

Kabir said, "Well, understand this—time travel is deeply connected to destiny."

Suman asked, "What do you mean?"

Kabir said, "To understand time travel, you need to understand time. To understand time, you need to understand change, and to understand change, you need to understand nature."

Suman asked, "What do you mean by that?"

Kabir replied, "Perhaps in a day or two, a research paper on the concept of time travel will be published. You'll understand it better after reading it. Everything is clearly explained in it. If I start now, it would take too much time, and I'm a bit short on time—it's almost 12. If you have any other questions, please ask."

After this, Suman asked a couple more questions related to Kabir's personal life and concluded the interview. Kabir knew that he had lied a lot about the multiverse today. But he also knew he had no other option. He didn't want to take any kind of risk, and Mr. Kant also didn't want anyone to find out about the multiverse traveling machine just yet.

Kabir felt a little guilty for lying, but what happened was for the best. On the other hand, while Kabir's interview was taking place, Mahira's interview was happening at the same time.
