Alaina's POV
"I love your acting, but I know you can do better. Show me what you've got." The new director I was working with said with a smile before walking away. I stood up and made my way back to my hotel room.
Once I got to the room, I sank into the very comfortable mattress. I was with a drink in my right hand and the taste was kind of off. I took another sip to be sure and it was still that salty taste. I set it down and laid face up. It had been three days of relentless rehearsal, and I wanted to sleep. It felt like my body was here, but my soul was miles away, caught in a web of uncertainty.
