Alaina's POV
"Are you for real?" Penny's shrill voice rang all through the room in a way that scared me.
I had told her what I hadn't told anyone, not even Keisha. And I hadn't told Keisha because she had told me what to do. I was left to make the right decision and I did want I felt was right.
"Tell him, Alaina. He has to know." Penny continued when she saw that I didn't respond.
She said it like it was simple. Like the universe would just open up and everything would fall into place if I just walked up to Micheal Alista—CEO, powerhouse, the man who owned half the film industry—and told him that I was carrying his child when I clearly told him that I had terminated the pregnancy.
God, I didn't even know how to say those words out loud to him. "I'm pregnant."
Even the idea of it left a bitter taste in my mouth. He would call me a liar, a fraud, and other names he could think of.
