Alexander's recovery was fast, only needing three days before he could walk. But he was still not allowed to move as his rib was still broken. Within a week he recovered fully. On this day he was getting ready to go to the Academy. As he was dressing up he remembered the battle he had against the bear.
"System, why was the bear so strong?" Alexander still didn't understand. Through bears are naturally stronger than bogs, this one was far move powerful.
"It's because it was half a step to its first form." The system answered. It explained why the bear had so much aura and why it could use that aura. Alexander sighed and took his Sabres.
He got in his carriage and was off to the Academy.

"Likewise this one too." Alexander started as he moved on.

"Not bad, a middle tier skill. Well it's cool and all but I would rather still pick a lower tier skill for now." Alexander made his decision and picked light step. A yellow apple shaped fruit appeared in his hands which he ate immediately. He then got the knowledge about the still. He smiled and looked outside of the carriage. They had arrived at the Academy.
Immediately he got down and was seen by the other students, it felt weird. Almost everyone knew about his injuries and battle. There were people who were sent to investigate and they found the dead bears corpse. Alexander was a genius who was not only good with the sword but magic as well. A great candidate for the throne of town head.
Some students approached him trying to make small talk or ask how he was feeling. These brats could literally see him in full hearth but were still asking if he had recovered. He ignored all of them and walked to fast to class.
His class mates were even worse and were ready to be under him so they could grow stronger. He didn't even look at them and just place his head on the table waiting for his teacher. Instructor Lyrien enter the class making everyone silence and seated. He gave Alexander a glance before proceeding with the class. The lesson went well with him explaining mana and other things. The students kept asking questions and he gave them the answers they needed.
After lunch they practiced they mana and weapons usage. The class end with some students getting a lot of benefits and others getting ideas of how to use their powers. Alexander walked out of the Academy and noticed his carriage waiting for him. He dismissed the carriage and walked. He was heading to the forest safe zone once again. It didn't matter how many times he gets injured. He had to grow stronger and more powerful. And who says injures don't make you strong. They might hurt but you must learn to endure for success is not given, it's taken.
Alexander got to the forest safe zone and moved to the place he had the battle against the bear. The corpse of the bear was gone. He looked around and saw different kinds of animal prints around. It would seem like his kill had rewarded a lot of hungry creatures. He smiled a little before proceeding to leave but immediately jumped back avoiding a deadly claw strike.
He looked forward only to see a leopard. The leopard had yellow fur and blood red eyes. It had the same aura as the bear.
"System, is it also had a step?" Alexander asked the system.
"No, this one is close to half a step." The system answered him.
"I see, so it's weaker. Well then that's bad for you." Alexander grin and pulled his two sabres out. His grin turned into a smile and the smile turn into a loud laughter. He dashed towards the leopard which the leopard did same.
A few minutes later. Alexander, having a few wounds on his body and breathing heavily watched as the leopard who also had a few cuts on it fur run towards him. Alexander closing his eyes dashed towards the leopard.
*Light step*
Immediately as the leopard arrived in front of him, he disappeared in front of it and appeared beside the leopard and raising his sabres up which were now covered in his shadow. He stabbed the leopard, one sword to the back and the other to the neck killing the mighty leopard immediately.
Alexander sat on his the ground out of breath. Before proceeding the battle he heard the system.

Immediately the system reached a hundred a new blast of energy came out of his body. He felt a new sense of power. The system rang in his head once again.

As the system kept informing him about his gains he kept laughing in joy. His mana had increased and he could start the trial of the Shadow Monarch too. He smiled and called upon his system status.

His mana was still recovering after his battle but this morning he could remember it being at 20 now it was 25. He stood up and place his sabres to his sides and left the forest safe zone. He once again shocked his servants when he came with injuries but this time they were minor injuries. What really shocked them though was the fact that he had moved a step. They congratulated him and treated him.
Alexander was cross-legged on his bed with his eyes closed.
"System will my minor injury be a problem." Alexander asked.
"No, the trial is fair and will only want the host to be at his peak."
"I see. Well then let's do it. The first trial of the Shadow Monarch." Alexander said with a smile.
