Chapter 9 - TEARING APART THE MISTRESS

"My name is Sophia." Sophia glanced coldly at the four disheveled individuals in front of her, and spoke five words from her cherry lips.

Immediately, the four people who insulted Sophia were stunned, as they had not expected the beautiful woman in front of them to be the CEO's secretary.

"Do you...do you know who I am? How dare you, a newcomer, hit me?" The woman who was slapped in the face was furious.

Sophia raised her hand and slapped her again, directly stunning the woman.

"I don't need to know who you are. I only know that people like you, who lack humanity, should be dealt with."

"I am a supervisor, I won't let you go." The woman covered her face and cried from Sophia's aggressive behavior.

"If you have the guts, come at me." Sophia was not afraid at all. "I'll be waiting for you in the CEO's office."

Years of experience in the workplace had made her very clear that some women were natural enemies, especially those who had their eyes on Robert, the long-standing number one bachelor in River City. As the newly appointed CEO's secretary, Sophia knew that these women would not let her go easily.

To establish herself, she had to first establish her authority.

She was not a pushover, and would not let anyone bully her. One encounter was enough to let these female wolves know that Sophia was not easy to mess with.

"What can a CEO's secretary do? With your vulgar behavior, no matter what means you use to sit in that position, Robert won't be interested in you." Suddenly, a pleasant yet mocking voice sounded.

Sophia turned her head to see a woman in a bright red short skirt, standing at the door.

The women who had been slapped by Sophia earlier saw her and immediately cried for help. "Miss Anna, you came just in time. The CEO's secretary is using her position to bully us."

"I saw it," Anna said, looking at Sophia with jealousy and malice that she didn't even try to hide. "Sophia is using her position as a secretary to maliciously bully others."

Sophia didn't get angry, but instead smiled. Anna was openly framing her, even though it was the other party who had started the fight, and Sophia was only fighting back.

However, she had never heard of Robert having a sister, but Anna's hostile attitude towards her was similar to that of the other women, and she suspected that Anna was Robert's lover.

But so what if she was his lover? In the end, she was still Robert's legal wife with a marriage certificate, and his lover could not bully her.

"You look really pretty," she said ambiguously.

Anna was taken aback, not expecting Sophia to compliment her on her looks.

She was as proud as a peacock and said coldly, "Of course, I'm pretty."

"I mean your lipstick looks really good," Sophia chuckled.

Anna's face turned pale. "Are you mocking me for not having a good lipstick color?"

"Yes," Sophia didn't hesitate, "Look at you, dressed so revealingly, I don't know if you're in an illicit profession."

Anna's face turned green. "Sophia, you bitch, what did you say?!"

"Is it bad to be an animal?" Sophia smiled beautifully, "You don't have to make it hard for yourself to understand human language."

"Sophia, I'll tear your mouth apart!" Anna raised her hand to hit Sophia.

Sophia had never been bullied outside, and she slapped Anna in the face before she could react.

"Snap," five finger marks appeared on Anna's face. "You...you..."

"So you're a stutterer," Sophia's eyes were cold as she looked at Anna, "If you have a problem, go see a doctor. If you can't speak properly, don't talk nonsense."

"Robert hates troublemakers, Sophia. I don't care who you are, but today I will make sure you get out of the Miller Family," Anna angrily watched Sophia leave.

Sophia knew that what had just happened would spread throughout the Miller Family in an instant. If Robert wanted to punish her, then so be it, but she would never allow anyone to bully her.

She had nothing but herself, and if she couldn't even protect herself, then she truly had nothing. Sitting at her desk, she had nothing to do but look over Robert's schedule again and again, feeling bored and restless.

"Sophia, you're ready to leave the Miller Family," Anna's voice rang out.

Sophia had heard the sound of high heels approaching long before Anna entered the room, and she knew that Robert's lover was coming to cause trouble. But she was not afraid.

As Anna walked into Robert's office, Sophia stood up and walked in as well.

"Robert, I heard that you brought in a new secretary, so I came to take a look. But then I saw her in the pantry, managing finances and even hitting me, tearing my skirt apart..."

As she spoke, Anna lifted her skirt to reveal the clearly cut fabric. Sophia glanced at it, feeling speechless.

Anna was so devious, trying to frame her and seduce Robert at the same time.

Robert's face was cold and stern, his tall figure exuding a chill, and his deep black eyes fixed on Sophia, who stood behind Anna with her head held high and a clear expression on her face.

"Does your hand hurt?" he asked in a low voice, his thin lips slightly parted.

Sophia's eyes flickered. Wasn't Anna his lover?

Shouldn't he be more concerned about Anna than Sophia at this moment? However, she was sure that Robert was asking about her.

"It hurts a bit," she answered Robert, but the person she hit hurt more.

"Next time, don't take matters into your own hands. Leave it to David," Robert gazed deeply into Sophia's eyes, "Don't hurt your hands again."

Sophia: "..."

Is Robert okay? What is this?

Caring about her?

Or intentionally using her to anger his lover Anna?

"Yes, Master Miller," David's voice suddenly sounded, "I will handle it. It was my fault this time, and I will take the punishment."

Sophia turned her head to see that David had entered like a ghost, not knowing what had happened.

It was understandable that with such a big incident, David would rush over as soon as possible to prevent any further trouble.

But to take the punishment, was it necessary?

"Robert brother..." Anna was ignored by Robert, and seeing him protect Sophia in front of her made her furious. She lifted her clothes again and cried, "I was the one who was hit, not Sophia being bullied. How could you not care about me and instead protect this stinky woman?"

When Robert heard Anna say the words "stinky woman," his eyes narrowed.

"Get out!" The voice was cold.

Anna was so frightened by Robert's stern voice that she trembled.

Without a word, David pulled Anna away forcefully.

"Get away from me, let go!" Anna struggled to break free from David's grip and rushed towards Robert. "Robert, how could you treat me like this? She's just a secretary, not your wife. How could you do this to me?"

David immediately stopped Anna from throwing herself at Robert.

"How do you know she's not my wife?" Robert's voice was cold, and his narrow phoenix eyes stared deeply at Sophia.
