It's Fine
This very response is what one has to mutter to himself everyday in this world or at the very least in this place in order to keep himself sane. When dying is as simple as walking outside and getting mauled by unknown horrors without any warning.
Or when you could be going to work and then get assassinated out of nowhere by someone who disliked you simply because of the way you dress. Death is very common here and you'd be lucky if that death is swift and fast.
Because if not you are in for one fun time. Because you're either being tortured for information,your organs are being harvested,Your being stuffed into a mutant abomination,your being used as a blood sacrifice or well the list goes on and on.
You'd be straight up lucky if you grow up with your sanity still intact. God only knows how hard that is.
My name is Ruin by the way the one in charge of the Technical works department of the Secondary department. My job isn't complicated nor hard at all but most of the time I just wait till I get assigned to a job.
It gets boring though since I'm one of the two workers in this department except of the occasional workers that visit here from the Safety and Sanitary departments respectively to clean and inspect the place

Oh! It seems I have my job given to me now I suppose I have to go now I then check my message on my phone and the alarm that went off
My job is to simplify it I'm the henchman or contractors for various departments and they assign me their own respective requests such as collections,Extractions or mechanical work and etc.
As I slowly approach the exit I see an employee from the cleaning department approaching me from afar it's not noticeable but looking close half of his head is just a skull and the rest a regular head
"Good morning Ruin, I assume you heard that so I suggest you get going now"the half skeleton employee greeted me in a deadpan voice before picking up his mop and getting to work cleaning up the place
"Good morning to you too Jared,now I'll get going then as you said." I greeted back at Jared before I slowly headed off to my work
And as I approached the door Jared pulled me from the shoulder before whispering something to me
"Psst,did you hear about the Slaughters going on In Division 11 Well I suggest you avoid going there if that's where your work is at for now at least before you know the-"Jared said as he glares at me before I cut him off before he finishes
"Yeah yeah thanks Jared I'll keep that in mind if I ever get an order to go there" I said as I then patted his shoulder assuring him.What a worrisome fella I mean what are they gonna do to me anyways?
"If you say so...,Alright then goodluck"Jared waved his skeletal hand goodbye as I approach the exit of the technical works department
Well then now that that's said I then glare at the message in my phone for my assigned work today

Well then this won't be a problem then will it? Well whatever it's my job so it's not like I have much of an option but to do it.
As I approach the door I hear another set of footsteps approach behind me mumbling something
"Oi! Jackass where the hell do you think you're going!" A girl with short black hair and lazy eyes shouts at my direction wearing the Technical works department uniform while crossing her arms
Ah! If it isn't my coworker Eve. I'd say it's nice to meet her but me and her both know I'm lying.
"What?" I answer somewhat hesitantly
"What do you mean what? So I'm just gonna sit here and do the paperwork!?" Eve answered at me in an angered tone before pointing her fingers at a stack of documents on the desk.
I forgot that we also had paperwork to do.
"You can handle that right?" I say somewhat sheepishly hoping she'd agree
"What am I your assistant?" Eve answered glaring at me with an irritated face wearing a smirk
"Can you do the paperwork at least for today, please?" I said giving a praying gesture. Of course this is an excuse as to not have to do boring paperwork and besides it's not like I purposefully avoid doing work like those.
"*Sigh* at least take a break sometimes..." Eve muttered to herself wearing a distressed expression looking elsewhere.
"What?" I answered with a baffled expression. It's quite rare that she shows this type of emotion and besides what's the problem? It's not like this type of work is out of the ordinary.
"...it's nothing also the thing you told me to do should be done soon." Eve returned to her usual self wearing that annoyed expression I'm more used to seeing.
"So does that mean I can go now?" I ask returning to the main topic at hand.
"Sure, just I don't know buy me lunch later alright?" Eve requested me before sighing and leaving the technical works department carrying a stack of documents while grumbling something.
Honestly what's with her all the time? I could deduce she's worried about something but what? About me? I doubt she cares and I know her better than anyone that whatever she meant wasn't random.
Perhaps she has a liking to me, we have been working together for 2 years now?
...I'm getting ahead of myself no? Well whatever I'll deal with affairs and things like that when there's plenty of time to do so.
Now then I should get to my second work for today.
