(3rd Person POV)
As Ruin walked past the freshly Charred Vines he had burned, he found himself walking in a tunnel that had been destroyed and rooted with vines and the ground below him blooming strangely colored plants and flowers, he then looked down to observe these strange plants that had been growing
"Hmm.. I haven't seen this before, that's certainly strange. Not In any of my years visiting this division did I ever find a single thing remotely similar to any of these plants" he said carefully looking and keeping his eyes on the odd plants.
He then looked deeper as he did, with Full intention activated his near omniscient ability once again.
[The Plants grown from the Artifact, are mutated plants which has no records of ever being discovered. They are plants that display characteristics of other plants such as Flowers, Fruits, and Vegetables. This is an impossible phenomena that is only being created due to the power of said artifact producing these.]
As Ruin processed the information he had just acquired, he begins to squat down before taking a Green Blossom that had grown in the ground.
After taking it, Ruin carefully examined it before activating it again
[This is a Flower that is a mix of Mountain Laurel and Banana, It's skin is that of a banana skin that is still raw, and inside it is a poisonous Mountain Laurel that is known for inflict burning on the lips, Mouth, or throat upon consumption, Touching it however is harmless as long as it has the banana Skin intact]
Ruin thought about this information for a while before speaking up
"That is a combination alright, a very odd and interesting one, so basically I have a poisonous plant that is essentially useless as long it has its layer on, but without it, it can cause burning in the mouth? Also why bananas?"
Ruin shrugged off the confusion he got from understanding this, but now with this he knows that he has to be careful around here.
He then took some more of these hybrid Banana and Mountain Laurel and put some in his pocket before standing up
'I should probably Go and look for the source of all of this, if there even is one. Eh, I'm still gonna look for it, it might accelerate the mission of clearing this plant like abomination of a catacombs'
Ruin began his wak forward, following the vines and strange plantlife, as he moved forward he finds two seperate paths in front of him, Left and right.
Ruin who of course didn't know where to go seeing as how both the paths looked similar if not identical began to activate his ability once more with the intent of learning what each path leads to.
[Left Path leads further to where the Original seed of the artifact that had been infested with more unnatural plantlife within it, the Right Path leads to a dead end]
'left path it is.' Ruin thought to himself before turning to the left tunnel and moving forward,
As he did he made sure to constantly run his omniscient ability when traversing, considering everything as his terrain is filled with countless mutated flora that could potentially be dangerous.
And as he traversed carefully navigating the plants beneath and around him, he eventually stopped in front of a wall brimming with plantlife and a stone door that seems to be rooted with plants.
"Hmm... This is strange" Ruin said before making contact with the stone door, his eyes looking at the edges and the features of this old and dilapidated door.
"Weren't these old remnants of the catatombs before they reconstructed it?" Ruin said trying to see if this is actual real or just an after effect that the plants have caused.
Ruin took a step back and tried to use the unnamed omniscient ability again on the door ahead of him
[Certain Parts of the Old History is beginning to resurface and is starting to show itself again, merging with the changes that had rewritten the false history]
"What?" Ruin exclaimed outloud as he couldn't help but be baffled at the response he had gotten.
He didnt understand this old history, or whatever is going on in all honesty, but what he is certain about is.
This is definitely not gonna end well.
But as Ruin came to that pessimistic train of thought, he quickly shook his head trying to snap himself out of this negative thought.
Ruin sighed before speaking up
"Truth be told, I don't have a reason to care about any of this. I just need to do my job, that's all." Ruin said before approaching the door again, but before he did just for one last time he activated his ability on the door with even more intent of knowing what is going on and what is this.
[These are old rooms from the very first iteration of this catacomb. The room ahead is a room used to contain caskets of deceased people who died of plagues and untreatable illnesses during the periods where they had died]
As the flood of information subsided, Ruin pinched the bridge of his nose in irritation and even more confusion. He spoke in a low tone of voice before pushing the door
"Let's just try to... I don't know avoid touching the caskets I guess" Ruin didn't know why he felt annoyed by the predicament ahead, he felt like something inside of him urged that whatever is ahead is not gonna be good, still he moved on.
Ruin pushed the old stone door and as it did, the door fell to the ground, it didn't seem to be attached to anything as it made a loud and echoing thud as it fell.
As the dust settled, with Ruin taking a few steps as he went in he was met with a old and abandoned like underground cemetery, there was rectangle holes on the walls with caskets inside each one.
Ruin carefully navigated this place with the only light source being candles that seemed to be slowly dying out and is on the floor keeping the room barely lit.
'that's a dead giveaway I'm in a terrible situation, why were the candles lit in the first place? That would imply that someone has been here no?' Ruin said as he stopped after a few stops, observing the surroundings carefully, there was some well laid out candles on the floor that was slowly dying out, and there was faint signs of the green plantlife seeping in from the cracks on the stone brick walls.
Ruin focused a bit of the surrounding energy on his fingertips as it culminated a small spark in his fingers acting as a light source and as a emergency weapon.
"Ok, well I'm already here, and this is about the only way to get closer to the 'root' of the situation... That was a shit joke." Ruin said trying to calm himself before finally moving forward again, as he built up energy from his fingertips while moving.
As he did, Ruin begins to hear the sounds of desperate howling and whimpering further along the tunnel. Ruin of course who hears this started to grow weary and concerned.
Ruin them activated the ability once again in advance, trying to get a read on a situation.
[A Lost Guard dog from one of the explorers who tried to venture these ruins Is slowly dying to the poison of the plants ahead of this tunnel]
'A poisoned dog huh? Well I don't know how to fix that.. I could maybe try to think of an antidote with this ability? Oh wait that's genius. Well lets go find this guy.' Ruin said with renewed inspiration and enthusiasm upon realizing the perk of such an ability.
As Ruin ventured forward, passing the ominous casket in the walls, he soon found the source of that noise.
A Dog
A German Shepherd whose body has been afflicted and coverned in thorns and who's body has spots of purple and black around them.
As Ruin carefully watched the dog examining the features and oddities that the dog is exhibiting he finds that the dogs eyes seem to be purely black and his canines are noticibely sharper and there was foam on the dogs mouth. The dog resembled a zombie of sorts
Ruin of course took a step back, unsure of what is going on and now a bit frightened by what the dog is displaying.
He then activated the unnamed omniscient ability once again, this time to determine what is going on with the dog and what kind of poison does this.
But before he could get a decent answer and before the flood of information arrived, the dog suddenly leaped towards Ruin baring it's canines.
