Eram found himself in class the next day, still Frowning at his moms answer.
'What the hell mom! What do you mean your not going to tell me and I have to learn that in school?'
Eram thought either his mom or dad would answer, however they both told him roughly the same thing.
He looked around the class and sighed. Looking at the kid next too him, Eram began to talk.
"So you excited about class?"
"Not really"
The kid looked back with an annoyed expression.
Erams face hardened seeing the lack of care from the kid. Looking at the kid in disbelief, he sighed, scratched his hair, then looked away.
A bell rang, all of the students who were standing up went too their seats. The teacher walked in shutting the door behind him with a sigh.
The teacher looked around. When the he looked at the back, he smiled. The teacher adjusted his glasses while letting out a chuckle. After a deep breath, he began speaking.
" Welcome back to the last day of 8th grade, as you all know next year will be extremely different. Some of you will get accepted, or passed, whatever you want to call it and be able to go to one of the Grand Academies."
He looked around the class with a cheesy expression before continuing.
" So to start class before the talent scout gets here, I'm going to mention today is a short day, we will only be here for half the day, or until the talent scout gets here."
Mr. Longly looked around with an admirable gaze. He reached into his desk and pulled out a bright red soda can. After taking a sip, he burped.
Some students giggled, Though most of the students were beginning to fall asleep. Mr. Longly stared at them with disbelief evident in his gaze, rubbing his eyes he checked the students again. He sighed.
" The final lesson is how big the world is. In previous classes we discussed our side of the planet, but now I will tell you about the whole planet."
Mr. Longly took a breath, closing his eyes, clearly frustrated.
"Our would is big enough to fit... You know what, who cares? I'm not about to do this on the last day. You all passed my class."
Many of the students were already snoring. Many students who were awake gawking, laughing, and strait up mocking them.
"I can't believe my classmates?"
The kid looked at her fellow students in shock, rubbing her eyes to make sure they weren't deceiving her.
The teacher sighed. He looked out the window, staring at the repair work being done right outside the building. The noises of the heavy machinery blaring.
" I know, right. out of all my years teaching, some of the students in the class are... well no matter."
The teacher looked back at all of the small children. His eyes were sagging.
Many students threw wads of paper at the few who were asleep, not that any of them awoke. Some kids got up, snickering, and hid their school back packs in various corners of the room.
Mr. Longly crumpled too his seat. He looked at all of the kids who were asleep with pity. He slammed his head on the desk, causing a loud bang to ring throughout the classroom. All of the students awoke.
"In one hour the talent scout will be here, so I want each and every one of you to practice as hard as you can with your cores."
As soon as Mr. Longly said that, all of the students started making a commotion. Many left their desk using this time as a free period, while the ones who were sleeping looked back at their desks longingly.
Some students started to practice aggressively, trying to show off to their classmates. Others tried to blend in with everyone else, trying not get noticed.
Eram tried his best to practice. He used one of his other core abilities, the ability to modify his body at will, too show some sort of visual show of his skill.
Eram practiced every chance he got, however his skill with this ability was nigh. He managed to make a third eye in the middle of his forehead similar to that of the other boy, but he felt as though it wasn't enough.
Starting to nervously sweat, Eram looked around. He noticed a girl with a shimmering sphere around her that was slowly getting bigger. The shimmering light was making small cuts on the desk.
Eram looked around the class for help, but no one was their. He immediately jolted his head around in desperation and noticed someone standing their that he didn't see before.
The man held up a finger over his mouth, looking Eram in the eyes, and kept walking. Eram had a confused look on his face and went to shout.
"Umph"
For some reason nothing came out. The man then walked to the girl and stood still for a moment. He looked around the class for a bit waving his arms around, no one seemed to notice him till he said something.
"Everyone, please stop using your cores."
He was a man who was about 6 foot tall, he had a slim but imposing figure, sharp eyes clearly from years of focusing hard on combat situations, a dark gray coat, ash blond hair that went well with everything, on top of that he smelled like grapes.
The man put his arm on the small girls shoulder. Looking her in the eyes.
"Ma'am you shouldn't distort space time like that in here. If your core was to fail in the middle of the class for any reason, space would have split open and killed almost everyone here, excluding me of course, and maybe that boy over there."
He then pointed at Eram the only one to have noticed him. Standing back up stretching his arms, then continued.
" Hi my name is Mark I am the talent agent, and I'm here to see who I am going to take today."
