The short guy with green hair confidently laughed, shooting a finger towards Eram.
"Depends, will you follow my every command like a loyal…"
A punch in the face shut him up fast. Alexander clutched his eye as he dramatically spun around. Lila, the girl who Alexander, glared at Alexander.
"Sorry about him. Your good, you have 3 Core affinities, and who wouldn't want that in a team?"
The taller girl with black hair stuck her chest out.
"Allow us to introduce ourselves."
Eram snickered.
She had Deep black hair that framed her pink eyes, which shone with determination. She stood at 5 feet tall, wearing dark green overalls and a black shirt a lighter shade of black than her hair.
"My name is Lila, and as you can see I have a Body and soul core."
Her voice showed how headstrong she was. she flipped over her board, showing its contents.
Alexander was rubbing his eye while he looked at Eram with pity.
"My name is Alexander, I have a mind core. Sorry for my outburst earlier… please don't hit me again Lila,"
Alexander looked at Lila with an affectionate but quite gaze.
As the shortest of the boys at 5 foot 3 inches, Alexander stood on his toes to match their Hight. His curly green hair framed his face, complimenting his bright green eyes that had a bruise mark around one of them. Wearing his stylish hoodie and sweatpants that show his resolve and desire to relax above all else.
Michael, the tallest of the group stepped forward.
"My name is Michael the prince of the Crion kingdom though please don't think of me as such, I would much rather fight with my life on the line than live in a castle. I have a mind, heart, and soul core as well."
He was a giant coming in at 5 foot 7 a whole 4 inches taller than Eram making even him feel small. He had Golden hair that glimmered in the sun and bright blue eyes that were cold yet calm. His muscular build showed off his strength and confidence..
Eram looked up to see the goliaths face, while his mouth fell open. Turning his head he looked towards Yuki, the shortest of the group at 4 foot 8.
She had a unique blend of Pure white hair mixed with dark gray strands that framed her delicate features with her sparkly gray eyes. She wore an asymmetrical jacket were one side was blue and one side was red, and pants that were the direct opposite of the jacket giving a checkered pattern.
"My name is Yuki and I have a heart core."
Eram looked at her with admiration. Looking down at his own fit he frowned.
'What the hell am I wearing? I look so goofy right now.'
" My name is Eram, thank you for letting me join."
Looking around noticing not very many people had made a team yet, Eram and his crew moved out of the way. Michael stretched his arms, while looking around the crowd.
"So what abilities do you guys have?"
Alexander Flexed his skinny arms making everyone giggle.
"I can dominate over animals and soul-beasts but certain conditions are met, though the lady who was my talent agent said I can do more than that."
Lila, smiled towards Alex while hearing him talk.
" I can make it to were people, unintentional ignore me. One of my other abilities is that I can gain a bunch of strength for a moment, however I'm exhausted afterwards."
She then used her ability to demonstrate. Everyone started to blink while rubbing their eyes. Eram looked around, straining his eyes.
"There you are."
Eram pointed to Lila, and everyone else looked but still couldn't see her.
"No, she's not you moron, otherwise I, the great Alexander, would have seen her first!"
He tried to say more, but then another punch shut him up again.
"Shut up Alexander, Eram how did you find me so fast?"
After she talked everyone noticed her. She was standing were she had been the whole time.
"Honestly I'm not sure, the talent agent that came to me had a similar skill. I was able to notice him."
Eram proceeded to make an extra eye on his forehead.
"I can alter and modify my body at will, I can also regenerate and heal injuries at a fast rate."
Everyone was astounded they started touching his body seeing what they could do with it. Once again Alexander decided to chime in
" Not going to lie that's actually cool"
Lila let out a laugh, she watched Alexander get fascinated.
"For once, I'm not going to punch you. Count your stars pretty boy, I will keep you in check."
Michael Let out a smile while looking at kids his own age.
"I guess it's my turn. To start with I can manipulate gravity, i also have the ability to momentarily turn off other peoples abilities when I hit them. Pretty cool right?"
The groups' mouths dropped simultaneously.
"That's amazing!"
Yuki looked worried while waving her hands around.
"I guess I'll go now, I can uhh… heal things by taking the life of other things. Like if an animal is on the brink of death I can kill things like grass or something to uhh… heal the animal. I also have a zero-one ability were I can absorb the air or something."
Yuki kept stuttering unable to continue
"It'll be okay, i wont let these brutes lay a hand on you."
Lila said to Yuki to cheer her up.
The crackle of a mic interrupted everyone. Cedric appeared.
" Welcome students to the Grand Academy of Xell, I know most of you still haven't found the group that I talked about with you earlier about, but don't let that upset you."
Some students in the crowd let out nervous laughter.
"But I do see some people do have a group. I'm going to pick one party at random, so please pay attention."
Cedric then pointed at what seemed to be Erams group then said something that made Eram frown.
" I pick your group, I believe your name is Kalla."
After hearing his old classmate's name and not his Eram fell to his knees. His new friends saw go pale as a sheet and giggle. Alexander was in a league of his own though, he started laughing hysterically, then promptly received a punch in the gut.
Everyone around Alexander giggled a little harder. His group was cackling enough to make the groups around laugh as well.
"W…w…why, Lila… why?"
Alexander, teary eyes, started coughing.
"You did something stupid again, you got what you deserved. I punched you in the gut this time because your face is looking a little too swollen, and I'm not trying to get in trouble for picking on a short person."
When Lila said 'short person' Alexander looked like he was shot with a bullet, he fell to his knees teary.
By the time everyone looked back at the podium they noticed Kalla and her group walking up the stage.
Cedric was having the students stand in a line. Kalla was on the left and a guy just as big as Michael was next to her, then there was Gunther in the middle then two more students after him. These boards were also facing everyone showing everyone what their core affinities are.
"As you can see there is a group of 5 students here with different words etched into the boards. These are extremely important. When going to the Ashlands, not having your team is a death sentence."
Cedric looked around sadly, but continued.
"Being in a group of five has special importance. Too many people things like gathering food become harder, however too little and it becomes harder to survive in every battle. If you have already got your group of five move to the front. You have five minutes."
