Chin-hwa flopped on his bed after successfully cleaning his house and doing the laundry.
He looked at his hanger of wet clothes on the balcony and the fresh smell of laundry hit his nose. It was so fresh.
Since it was winter, there was no telling how long it would take for the clothes to dry. It didn't snow yet but he was sure if he left the clothes out for too long, they would freeze up like popsicles.
He lightly chuckled at his thoughts.
"Popsicles," he muttered softly, his eyelids slowly fluttering. "I'll just bring them in before I leave. They can..." He yawned, "Drip water in the meantime."
Being a pampered and overprotected child, Chin-hwa never did all these things, but he had a bit of interest in them, so he learned how to be independent.
After all, he did hear stories from his mother about how he came to live with both his fathers. 'Laundry is the way to a man's heart.' He'd say, but Chin-hwa was starting to understand that more clearly.
As a child, his mom would definitely not want to include the parts that were not right for a child to listen to, so he sugarcoated them. Yet, now that he was all grown up, he understood that Laundry wasn't a way to a man's heart, it was a way to their bed, that was for sure.
Most stories Hae-won told his kids were about their bickering when they lived in the same house. And then he would talk about when they were younger, how he met Baek-Hyun during middle school and Woo-bin during college.
It was always fun to listen to and no matter how many times he told the story, his kids, Chin-hwa in particular, could not get over it.
It was like a magical fairytale that he wished would happen with Byul and him.
So, the option of being roommates was actually a stepping stone to achieving that fairytale. But oh well, some things were better dreamt than achieved.
"Awn, look at him snooze so softly, he's so cute." The familiar voices in the background started triggering Chin-hwa's consciousness.
"I knew he wouldn't pack up." Another familiar voice spoke and then chuckled. "He has no care in the world,"
"Well, it's not like he ñeeds to pack anything anyway. He has all he needs back home."
Chin-hwa slowly started waking up. He knew the owner of those voices and he guessed this was one of the reasons why they had a spare key to his room.
"Oh, looks like he did laundry as well. I'll take it in before we leave."
Chin-hwa could not be bothered to wake up and even while his Noona was helping him put on a coat, he did not open his eyes.
Much like it was a psychological situation where he knew opening his eyes would only warrant them fawning over him. So, he would just keep sleeping till they got to their house.
"Alright, it's all settled. Let's go." Deok-Ryu said and bent down to carry Chin-hwa on his back.
"Careful." Si-woo said. "Drop him and you're dead."
"Pft, as if I'd let that happen." Deok-Ryu said. "If I did drop him, I'd be the first to end my life, so don't worry about it."
They walked out of Chin-hwa's dorm room and locked the door. But just as they were about to head out, they found someone at the door.
"Ah, who... Who are you?" It was Yun-Tae, who had come back to return Chin-hwa's wallet. The one he had left in the karaoke room.
The twins stared at Yun-Tae and then fired the question back at him.
"Who are you?" They both asked.
Yun-Tae was a bit lost. He had never seen these two before. These two... Handsome Alphas. One was female, and the other was male, and they were very much identical, with only a few distinct features.
He gulped. They were a bit scary.
He could feel they were dominant Alphas. That dominating aura around them was far superior to one you would see coming from the guys on campus.
It was like Lee Kang-woo's but they seemed to be of a far superior breed. Was it because they were older? He couldn't tell but... Why were they coming out of Chin-hwa's house?
His eyes fell on Chin-hwa on the Alpha male's back. Were these friends of his as well?
"Why aren't you answering?" Si-woo asked, drawing closer and pushing his face close to Yun-Tae who flinched and took a step back. "Who are you?"
"Well, I... I'm Chin-hwa's friend, and..."
"Whoa, Little Hwa's friend?" Deok-Ryu exclaimed in excitement. "He never talks about his friends and..."
"Ryu, quit it." Si-woo snapped at him and then turned to Yun-Tae with a friendly smile. "So, you're our little Hwa's friend. You two must be close, given that you can come to his house whenever you want, huh?"
"Well, yes." Yun-Tae answered, though that day had been the first day he had actually gone to Chin-hwa's house. Well, there was no need to disclose that information, right?
But wait, what if this was a kidnapping? Shouldn't he call the cops instead?
They were carrying Chin-hwa who was unconscious. He internally gasped. This was a crime.
Si-woo snapped his fingers in front of Yun-Tae's face, snapping him out of his thoughts.
"So, what's your name?" She asked.
"Y-Yun... Yun-Tae." He answered with a sutter and gulped. She was very close to him at the moment and she... She was very handsome too. She had looks that could smother a poor innocent soul with a glance. "My name is..." He slowly lowered his head, blushing. "Yun-Tae."
"Hm," Si-woo suddenly sniffed the air and though it was not intentional, she got a whiff of his pheromones and knew his gender right away. Though, just a glance of him could tell but with his pheromones, she was able to tell. "Yun-Tae, you're an Omega, just like our Little Hwa, right?"
"That... That's right." He answered.
"Well, since you two are such good friends, wanna come over and have dinner with us?" Deok-Ryu suddenly asked, much to Yun-Tae's surprise.
"And while you're at it," Si-woo added, folding her arms. "Why don't you tell us about our Little Hwa and how he spends his everyday college life?"
