Chapter 3
Elynium Headquarters:
The Elynium operates out of a high-tech facility located in a secluded area, possibly in an alternate dimension or a hidden part of Earth. The building easily stood out looking luxurious from the outside but no one would imagine the inhumane training and top secret missions that were going on inside the luxurious walls.
Tyra, a 23 years old Temporal Agent, was seen immersed in her training as she kept punching the dumpy that surprisingly seemed to be as hard as rock, with ease. She hit numerous times that her knuckles became bloody, but she seemed to not have noticed as the activity gave her joy.
"Miss Tyra seems to be enjoying her punches…?" A side comment resounded in the room, snapping the young lady out of her thoughts.
"How would the top Temporal, Our captain and Ace handle the next Mission…?" The intruder said in a dramatic tone earning a chuckle from Tyra.
"And what brings my second in command to a training ground, when he has an air conditioner and beers in the comfort of his room…" She teased Morgan, who for some reason came to find her, when he normally chilled in the comfort of his room rather than fighting space monsters. Though she could not deny his ability and strength.
"Wow…!, I'm impressed, by your words, you make it sound like I'm a lazy comrade.
"Of course not, you are my second in command, you can't be lazy, even if you wanted to be, I can't be mistaken, nor can the Chief offer second position to an idle person…so what does this mission consist of…My dearest Mr 2nd"
"Well Mrs 1st today's mission is on the A list chart…"
"So Mr 2nd, what are the chances of survival…?" She asked, still beating up the dumpy which was already in a bad shape and disfigured face.
"Well, I'm not participating in your Mission today, I have to lead another team. Someone was caught stealing confidential information about the organization and he is on the run, the worst part being he's from my team". He sighed, rubbing his forehead.
"Oh…that's alright, If the death percentage is that high I would rather go on my own…" She took her things and walked out.
"Chief…I received your orders, I'll take on the mission alone…" She said arriving at the chief's office.
"Tyra you can't…, I already arranged for someone to go with you…"
"But…?"
"No buts, that's finally…!" He scolded knowing how persistent she can be when she made up her mind.
"I understand," She helplessly agreed.
"The space ships are ready, So make your pick and go. I don't know why it appeared on the A list missions, it is even more dangerous as we have no idea what it could be…so be careful". He said, throwing what seemed to be a map at her.
"Find the location of the crystal and get it for me"
"Hmm…"
Walking into the space station parking grounds, she was greeted with the sight of a young man, who seemed to have been expecting her, as he walked closer to her, standing beside her. She couldn't help but feel short as the man was a head longer than her.
"So you're my partner in this Mission…?" The young man said nothing in response, just looking at her.
"My rank is higher than yours, so you have to listen to me. I want you to stay on the ship ready to depart if something gets tough…understand…?"
Still not speaking, the young man went forward, turning on the engine and ready to depart, as Tyra coolly sat beside him as he drove.
They first arrived at a mysterious location, where Tyra retrieved something unknown to her partner.
Upon arriving at an abandoned or rather, destroyed space station, each carefully parked the ship, putting it on camouflage mode, entering the dark and wrecked space station, the lights were dead, leaving everything in complete ruins and darkness. Using an energy ball, she lightened the place as light flashed across everywhere in an instant giving the darkness no room to hide.
"Hey…you, stand back and don't follow me inside, in 30 minutes, if I don't return you have to go and call for backup, understand…?" She yelled as the young man who just narrowed his eyes in response, which she took to be a yes.
Walking carefully, she silently prayed that whatever unknown thing it was, it would not be harmful, she didn't want to risk lives,as she still unaware if the young man had any skills.
"Crrr…!" They heard something growling at the end of one tunnel-like structure.
"I think it's a monster, you have to leave, throwing the keys into his hand, she expected the young fellow to run for his life like the rest did, but to her surprise and panic he ran in the opposite direction just behind the monster.
"Is he deaf…,!?
Tyra immediately ran after him due to his longer legs, he kept a steady distance between them, rushing towards where the sound came.
"Will you stop…Listen to me", Tyra chased after the young man, "We don't know what that is, so don't act tough by running into danger, because you will be the first to die…" She said, pulling on his arm.
Activating the Quantum Crystals which she brought in advance, they crystal having limitless energy, brightened the space station again, flashing light at every corner.
The Elynium utilizes Quantum Crystals to power their Temporal Pods, ensuring they run efficiently without causing harmful emissions or exhausting natural resources.
These crystals also serve as a form of temporal stabilizer, helping to keep the time streams steady during travel.
"They seemed to be nothin…"
She yelled in fright as her companion pushed her to the side, making her knock her head against a pillar like structure.
"What the…" She almost cussed when her comrades placed his finger on his lips, telling her to be quiet. she immediately noticed the creature above her head. Which seemed to be still, but moved when a sound was made. It sniffed the air as if sensing the intruder, it roared loudly, almost shaking the entire station.
