During the four days that I lived at Jevro's house, there wasn't a day that we didn't train. There was another day when Alfonso called us out of the blue to secure the safety of civilians against monsters that were seen or attacking a small village. What I discovered about the Mana Stone was temporarily hidden by me and Alfonso.
He couldn't believe what I discovered and even more he couldn't believe that the superior who turned to ashes after touching the stone, was a Huluwa. Huluwa, according to the mysterious voice I was talking to, Huluwa is a monster that has the ability to imitate humans. Starting from the person's appearance to the way people think.
The mysterious voice also said, the Huluwa people were once loyal friends of Nyuweku. He didn't tell me who Nyuweku was but the mysterious voice promised that one day, I would also discover the truth.
"Since you came back after talking to the mysterious voice, I noticed that you were always dumbfounded. I asked Uncle Alfonso what really happened but even he couldn't answer me." Jevro said as he hit me again with his powerful punch.
We are currently training for the final preparations. Tomorrow we leave for the US to raid the nest of two-headed snakes.
"Nothing happened, really. I'm just thinking about what will happen to my housemates when we go to the US. We'll be staying there for a week. Do you think they will be safe while im not here?" I asked him as I massaged the area where his punch hit.
I know that Jevro can be trusted because he is Alfonso's nephew and a strong Malemyn. But every time I think about the words of that mysterious voice, I don't know how to tell him what I discovered. Jevro is not a Huluwa, I'm sure of that. But I don't know the people around him. Even Alfonso told me to keep everything a secret from Jevro because of the people who are always watching over the man.
"Don't worry about them. Didn't Uncle tell you that he would personally look after your uncle? And another thing, within a week, the appearance of monsters twice is enough. Uncle is more powerful than me, you know?" Jevro responded to what I said while wiping his sweat.
"Yeah..."
I stepped closer to the door that connected to the small room inside Jevro's underground training room. The swords he collected from Japan were kept there. I picked up the bottle of water and drank before speaking again.
"By the way, who will be supporting you during the raid? Will Allyssa be with you?" I asked him.
He picked up the sword he would bring to the US tomorrow before answering. "No. She will not. She is needed here in the country for the Malemyns who will secure the safety of the people. Besides, there are a lot of Gwandys who will also join the raid from Korea. I think those are enough for me."
Well, I wanted to say that I was with him but I held back, of course. I will heal him but I don't know how to do it without him knowing or not noticing. Should I do the same thing as before? I whispered to myself.
We both went out of the small room and also leave the training room. We have to pack some clothes for our flight tomorrow morning. While walking, I sent a message for George to asked him about that "thing". He mentioned yesterday that the line got wider. According to his description, that " thing" is not a stone.
"I have to go to my house tonight to get something. Wanna come?" I turned to Jevro's side and asked.
He just nodded his head as response to me. Seriously, how in the world that there's someone who still look so handsome even he's bathing in his own sweat? Do I even look like this guy right now? Probably not. I know myself that I look like a wet baby hatchling right now.
"Enough staring. I already agreed to your invitation, didn't I?" Jevro suddenly turned to me and captured my gazing.
I immediately cleared my throat and withdrew my eyes. I heard him chuckled but I didn't say anything. I'm straight, I'm not gay. And he also the same, yes. But why the fuck is my face feels burning?! I was about to leave him when my monitor suddenly rang. George is calling.
"What is it?" I said as I received the call.
"Come here quickly! Before it hatches!" George voice sounds excited and scared at the same time.
And since I have no idea what he is talking about, I quickly grabbed Jevro's waist and pulled him closer to me. I didn't say anything even he look at me with wide eyes and a big question mark is obviously written on his forehead. He's a bit taller than me but we have the same build. So obviously, when I pulled him closer, he automatically wrapped his hands around me and we teleported three times until we reached my house.
"Can't you atleast warn me before doing that?" His cold and deep voice ringing in my ear as we released each other.
"Sorry.. It's an emergency." I told him as I lead the way to that room. He sighed but also follow.
When we reached to the room where that "thing" is, we both flinches and even holds the wall. Dumbfounded, we look at each other with furrow brows as we both look at the door in front of us. How do I explain this? As i reached this front door, I felt an enormous aura from inside the room. Surprisingly, Jevro felt the same.
"W-what was that?" He asked me seriously.
"I also have no idea." I answered him.
I gulped several times before I knocked the door. George immediately open it with his face is an awe. I can even see some sweat on his forehead.
"Yohan.. Good you came. Come quickly and look at your egg." George said as he turned around and returned inside.
His words sounds weird but I still took it seriously. What egg is he talking about? Jevro remains silent as he gradually follow me inside. We both stop in front of the big round rock that is color green. It indeed has a wide scratch which quite different from the scratch I knew. I turned to Jevro to hopefully asked him but he's not besides me anymore. The man I brought with me is now busy encircling the big green Rock.
"Where did you get it?" His head finally showed up from behind the rock. "An what is this?" He also added.
I touched my glabella as I took a deep breath. Where did I find this thing? Well, back when the mana stone hit my parents house, this thing dropped second to the mana stone thirty meters from where the mana stone dropped. Coincidentally, the place where it dropped was also the place where I fainted. And fortunately, the government didn't see it. I hid it first inside the mountain and brought it here after the government gave me this house. How did I brought it here? Luckily, this rock is not that heavy. It weighs just over twenty kilos.
"I'll tell you if you promise me to keep it a..."
"Yeah, yeah.. I promise. I won't tell anyone even my uncle. So tell me, what and where did you get this?" Jevro cut my sentence while keep checking the the rock.
"I found it near my parents house. Honestly, I also don't know where it came from. It didn't show any changes after 2 years of being inside this room until this last few days. That scratch appeared and it became this wide." I said as I glanced at George. "By the way, why did you call it an egg?" I asked him with frown.
George pointed at the scratch as he said.. "It moved as the scratch made a crack sound. And, I also heard something from it. But after that, it didn't move anymore. That's why I immediately contacted you to come back. George look at me meaningfully as he also glanced at me hands.
"If what your uncle said was true, then I'm sure something wrong is happening inside this egg. Should we forcefully cracked it?" Jevro suddenly spoke.
"No. We can't. That's dangerous for the hatchling." I told him as I removed my gloves.
I took a deep breath before I touched the so called egg. George remains silent while Jevro is still checking the egg. He then approached me and stands beside me. He tilted his head without saying a word but the seriousness on his face is quite obvious. I don't know what is he thinking but I didn't ask.
Just after a few minutes, we both heard a cracking sounds as well as the hatchling cries from the egg. We both stepped backwards as we watched the egg hatches. Just as it hatched, Jevro and I feels the strong aura one more time so we automatically clutches our chest as we both close our eyes.
"Ppiii..!!!!"
That chirping suddenly made Jevro and I's eyes widen. A creature we don't know the name of came out of the egg and is now facing the two of us. But that's not what shocked me, this creature is unbelievably connected to me? Or maybe, it also connected to Jevro? but how and why?
