A soft, ethereal glow illuminated the room as Tyler slowly opened his eyes. A wave of disorientation washed over him. Where was he? How had he gotten here? His mind, a blank slate, offered no answers. With a groggy sigh, he pushed himself up, his body feeling heavy and unfamiliar.
As he stood, his gaze fell upon the unfamiliar surroundings. A sleek, futuristic dock, bathed in a soft, ambient light. A woman, her face etched with concern, approached him. It was Dr. Chen, a renowned scientist from the NAU.
"Tyler," she began, her voice filled with a mix of relief and confusion, "you're awake."
Tyler's mind raced. Who was this woman? Why did she know his name? He tried to recall the events leading up to his awakening, but his memory remained a void.
"I... I don't know," he stammered, his voice barely a whisper.
Dr. Chen's expression softened. She understood the confusion and fear that must be swirling within him. "It's alright, Tyler," she reassured him, her voice gentle. "You've been through a lot. Take your time."
She proceeded to explain the situation, her voice carefully measured. She told him about the two years he had been missing, the desperate search conducted by his family, and the harrowing ordeal he had endured in the perilous realm of the void creatures.
Tyler listened, his mind reeling. He couldn't believe what he was hearing. He had no recollection of the past two years, no memory of the trials he had faced. It was as if a significant portion of his life had been erased.
As Dr. Chen delved deeper into the details, she noticed a peculiar blankness in Tyler's eyes. He seemed lost, adrift in a sea of uncertainty. She realized that she had to tread carefully, to avoid triggering any traumatic memories that might further destabilize his fragile mental state.
"Tyler," she began, her voice soft, "it's important to understand that your mind is still recovering. You may not remember everything right away. But as time passes, your memories will return."
She explained to him the concept of rifts, dimensions that connected different worlds. She told him about the system, created by her superior's and his father to ensure a peaceful hierarchy in the new era of earth. And she spoke of the dangers that lurked within these rifts, the monstrous creatures that could consume the unwary.
Tyler listened intently, his mind absorbing the information. He was still grappling with the reality of his situation, but he was determined to understand. He knew that the truth, no matter how painful, would ultimately set him free.
In his mind he was shocked to find out that he was in earth but it seems like he transmigrated to the future in a nineteen year old boy who could not access the energy making humans stronger with super powers he felt pity for the body for it has gone through the same thing he did in his past life so he decided to keep the system a secret for he was sure human's didn't have such because of the doctors words and he vowed to bring respect and power for this body.
She told him that they are approaching New America a city formed by his father to ensure safety to his people and how they would be happy to see him.
He went back to his room and slowly began doing the pushups till it was completed and when they would land he would start his 10 kilometers race.
The aircraft touched down on the pristine runway of New America, a metropolis that seemed to defy the laws of physics and time. As Tyler stepped out, he was greeted by a sight that was both surreal and familiar. Towering skyscrapers, sleek, self-driving vehicles, and holographic billboards adorned the cityscape. It was a world far removed from the one he had left behind.
A wave of nostalgia washed over him as he saw his family - his parents and elder sister - standing at a distance. Their faces, etched with worry and relief, were a stark contrast to the futuristic backdrop. As he approached, they rushed forward, their embrace warm and comforting.
"Tyler," his mother wept, her voice choked with emotion. "We thought we'd lost you."
His father, a stern-faced man with a piercing gaze, simply nodded, his eyes filled with a mixture of pride and concern. "You're alive," he muttered, his voice barely audible.
Tyler, overwhelmed by the reunion, forced a smile. "I... I don't remember much," he stammered, his voice barely a whisper. The truth was, he couldn't remember anything about the past two years, the void creatures, or the extraordinary powers he had acquired. His mind was a blank slate, a terrifying prospect that he was only beginning to grapple with.
To avoid raising suspicion, Tyler played along, feigning ignorance. He spent the next few days catching up with his family, answering their questions with carefully crafted lies. He feigned surprise at the technological advancements, the advanced weaponry, and the existence of otherworldly beings.
However, as the days turned into weeks, Tyler began to realize the gravity of his situation. The world he had returned to was far more complex and dangerous than he had ever imagined. He learned about the Great Rift, a tear in the fabric of reality that had unleashed countless horrors upon the world. He discovered that he was not alone; there were others like him, individuals who had been touched by the power of the rift.
One evening, his father revealed a startling piece of news. A grand banquet was to be held in Tyler's honor. The four great tyrants of their time, each a legendary figure in their own right, would be in attendance. Tyler's heart sank. He had a premonition that this banquet would be anything but a celebration.
"You see, Tyler," his father explained, "we believe that you have a special destiny. You are destined to become a great warrior, a protector of this world. This banquet is an opportunity for you to meet and learn from the greatest minds and warriors of our time."
Tyler listened, his mind racing. He knew that the banquet was not just a celebration; it was a test, a trial by fire. He would be expected to prove himself, to demonstrate the skills and abilities that he had acquired during his time in the void.
As the day of the banquet approached, Tyler felt a growing sense of dread. He knew that he was ill-prepared for what lay ahead. He had no idea how to harness the power within him, nor did he understand the full extent of his abilities. Yet, he was determined to face whatever challenges came his way. After all, he had faced the void creatures and emerged victorious. Surely, he could overcome anything.
He now knew the meaning of necromancy making him vow never to show his true power till he is strong enough to back it up or else they would kill him.
