Sirius placed that kiss on her lips and Saoirse opened her eyes a little bit astonished.
"Sirius, wha-" She asked, but his lips lingered on hers and she couldn't get the rest of the phrase out before his emotions mingled with hers and they both were soon feeling the same thing.
Saoirse without holding back, let him do it, and what's more, she blushed as she hotly kissed him back.
(Me, his beast, and her wolf were all just sitting there like say what???? I beamed with joy, this was my moment to make my debut! I was finally going to be a baby!!!!!
(But then mom went and had to hesitate.)
Saoirse knew that smelling her had been alluring to him more than usual, but tonight was a little different; Saoirse knew that he had drank Linus' blood.
Because of this he was more out of control than normal and he began kissing her a little excitedly. He tried to remove her clothes and kissed her neck as soon as he felt her give him the permission.
"Hey Sirius…." she said cautiously, interrupting the moment. "I think im not as barren as I thought, today Linus said he has 30 kids…."
He placed a kiss on her lips while she said this.
"That's not a problem." He said softly.
They hadn't discussed having kids for a while, occasionally the conversation came up but she also thought maybe they wouldn't be able to. So she hadn't pressed the subject much.
Saoirse took this moment to realize she was the only sane one in the room and it was her job this time to say no.
He looked over her his eyes glowing red a bit and kissed her neck again as if to reassure her that she hadn't heard him wrong.
His eyes were his eyes, not his lustful beast who messed with his mind. This made Saoirse think that perhaps what he was doing really was thought through. Even still, she didn't understand.
"Not a problem? Are you sure?" she said, "We still haven't taken over the kingdom, what if we end up with cubs we can't protect or something?" She was growing nervous, this conversation was scaring her a bit.
He paused and considered that. "One time shouldn't hurt." He said calmly but she could tell he was pleading a bit. Linus' blood must have been strong stuff; he was very out of character right now, never in his right mind would he have said something like that. He really was a cautious person.
He had always been determined to wait to try having kids until he was sure that his father wouldn't harm them.
(Me, his beast, her wolf. We were all literally hugging each other waiting to see what mom's verdict would be.)
Saoirse thought about the consequences that could follow. Would Alastor feel threatened if Saoirse got pregnant with something that wasn't a vampire? What was the probability of that?
If Alastor had married Saoirse's mother, would he have killed his own young if they had been werewolves?
Sirius kissed her again convincingly. He was waiting for her answer too. Saoirse should have said no but eventually she too was becoming tempted. She sighed, "Ok, but if we have a problem because of this I am blaming you."
(All of us, her wolf, his beast and I pumped our fists with joy at this, mom had given him permission!)
Sirius smiled at her with his fangs, his soft red eyes filled with joy.
It wasn't that their concerns had disappeared—far from it. But the way he held her, the quiet, steady beat of his emotions through their bond, reminded her that Sirius wasn't reckless, even in moments like this. If he was asking for this, he meant it.
For once, she let herself believe it was okay to want this too and, for the first time in a long while, they allowed themselves to forget everything—their roles, the kingdom, the danger outside—and just be.
(Mom kissed him so intensely for the first time in their life that all three of us decided to leave the room at that point.)
—————
(Now I will say Mom and dad stayed in their room for the rest of the day and I wasn't there, but I will say that the moment I had waited centuries for was kind of anti-climactic because after forever they still didn't come out of their room. And I started to wonder if they needed the privacy we were all giving them, so I took a peak….and it turns out, they were just sleeping. I was sooooo frustrated like maybe I should have just killed them like I was supposed to and left them alone!
( I was about ready to give up on them. In the end, I bet Mom told him no. It made me so mad and impatient.)
The next evening when Saoirse woke up, Sirius was resting his head on her chest, his arms wrapped around her and sleeping soundly.
She petted his hair lovingly, cuddling him warmly. He didn't stir so she ran her finger along the soft strands of one of his feathers and enjoyed the closeness they had.
When he did wake up, he gave her his sweet smile and groggily said, "Good morning."
"Good morning." She smiled back. Her cheeks warming a bit as she remembered the experience she had before falling asleep.
"What's that look for?" Sirius asked playfully.
(A bit uncharacteristic of him too. These two were making me very mad. )
Saoirse replied sheepishly, "We were pretty immature yesterday."
Sirius chuckled and then smiled slyly at her and nibbled at her neck. "You want some more?" He asked playfully. At the same time, he wasn't joking. She chased him out of the bed and smacked him on the butt with a pillow. "Quit tickling me all the time!"
He laughed playfully and kept trying to tickle her, chasing her around the room for a bit as if they had gone back to being kids.
(I was embarrassed on their beasts behalf.)
A few weeks went by and they packed up their car and decided to go to the wolf pack to meet with Linus. The tension between them lowered, returning to normal now that the full moon was gone and so was the bloodlust that Sirius had after drinking Linus' blood. They were very excited to turn a new page and add to their secret list of things they hid from Alastor, which was 900 years long. Perhaps going to visit her brother would be good for them.
