A bit over a week later...
The demon lord could be seen levitating in the air at the border of the kingdom closest to the demon lands. The five dukes flapped their wings behind him while a decent number of demon soldiers were neatly lined up on the ground behind then unmoving.
"So this is the kingdom of Kongo huh?, not sure why you had a hard time here, none of the decent power levels I sense are stronger than a marquis and there's literally only three of them, one is even flickering....clearly an old man or woman with one foot into the grave" the demon lord suddenly said with a bored look on his face.
"Y-Your highness, if you recall we mentioned five strange females....it wasn't these weaklings..."
"To dare call someone else a weakling when you couldn't defeat five little girls, how bold of you" the demon lord suddenly cut off Bane who was trying defend himself and the others with a cold statement.
"....."
"....."
"....."
"....."
"....."
All dukes remained silent with their heads bowed as they did not know what to say.
"What, had enough of defending yourselves alre....oh seems we have some company, I guess we'll have to finish this talk some other time" the demon lord who was merrily mocking the dukes suddenly cut off his sentence as he was attracted by five approaching auras that seemed to appear out of nowhere.
The dukes all heaved a sigh of relief since they were at least spared from a beating for now, then they also stared in the direction of the auras which they knew all too well.
"So, are you the five legendary little girls who beat up my subordinates and halted the progress of their conquest....the sages of humanity?" the demon lord rhetorically asked while looking at the five beautiful girls who were lavitating opposite him with keen interest in his eyes.
{But we weren't beaten up though, only fought to a draw!!} the dukes screamed in their heads but none of them dared say it out loud.
"May I have the pleasure of knowing your names?" still with a look of interest on his face the demon lord says.
"...."
None of the girls responded, they just looked at him with tense expressions in their pretty little faces and their cute hands gripping their weapons as hard as they could.
One could easily tell that they could clearly sense that the creature standing before them outclassed them in every single way and that there was no chance of victory. Even then, they didn't run away despite the visible fear in their eyes. This alone earned a bit of the demon lord's respect so he thought of chatting a bit more...but he failed to notice a glimpse of excitement that was hidden within the fear, which would have surely dumbfounded him.
"Oh!, where are my manners?...I should have told you my name first, I am Julius the supreme ruler of the demon lands and soon to be the supreme ruler of this continent as well, my friends call me the demon lord so you can also call me demon lord" said the demon lord with a teasing smile.
{Sir we're at war, stop teasing the enemy please!!. And what do you mean by friends?, you clearly have no friends at all, otherwise what friends would call you by your title?!!} the dukes screamed in their heads again, and again didn't dare say it out loud.
The demon lord who obviously couldn't hear their thoughts was still in a joking mood as he now looked at the five girls with amusement wondering what they'd do next knowing that they were no match for him.
"A fiend like you doesn't deserve to know our names, now die!!" one of the girls said as she sped forward to attack and as if they were one entity the other girls also moved at the same time all aiming at the demon lord.
The dukes were about to take action but a hand raise from the demon lord stopped them.
"Let me handle it, you clearly couldn't and I definitely want to experience their power strong enough to stand tall to tall with my best" The demon lord said with a grin on his face as he waited to receive the girls' attacks.
The five girls then shouted one after the other....
"Fire beam!!"
"Compressed water blade!!"
"Giant wind blade!!"
"Steel lance!!"
"Bramble thorn barrage!!"
Five different colored attacks from different elements flew towards the demon lord but he didn't make an effort to dodge and so all the attacks landed. An explosion of energy occured and the demon lord was consumed whole, his figure hidden by some resulting smoke.
Just when the dukes where about to act as they knew that they definitely would have been at least gravely injured by such an attack, a slightly sinister laugh was heard...
"Hehehe, you dare hold back your strongest attacks even though you know you're outmatched?"
