Chapter 1: The Author

It was just so unfortunate for us to be together because as much as I want to spend my whole life with him, it's just too late for us to continue 'cause fate already untied our knots to be together.

That was the last words that was written on the tragic ending of the romantic story that she's writing. Yes, unfortunately for the readers but she decided to end their love story this way— to end in a tragic and painful way.

Right after she pressed the button 'period' and tapped the enter bar; a loud sigh escaped on her lips as a relief. Because at last, it's finished.

She rested her back on the swivel chair as she put her fingers on her temple and massaged it gently. She's been sitting and facing her laptop for almost 3 hours and her head hurts plus her eyes swell down a bit because of too much exposure to radiation. And because of it, she made a mental note in her mind that she'll meet her doctor to consult her eyes.

"I need to proofread and edit this again to pass the manuscript," she said and forced herself to focus and continue facing her laptop again and start working.

POSTED

A grin plastered on her lips when she finished posting it to her writing account and yawned. She needs to rest and finally, she'll get it.

She stood up lazily on her seat and walked towards her aesthetic colored soft bed and landed on it facing the pillow. And when she feels the cozy comfort of her soft mattress, she nuzzles herself even more to make herself more comfortable.

"Hmm..." She hummed and released a sigh.

"Will they accept their ending?" She whispered as she remembered how she ended the story in a tragic way again.

Almost all of her written works ended tragically and she's sure that most of her readers are already expecting that kind of ending again but this time, will they be able to accept it again?

The story was entitled, "Remember The Remaining". It's a story about a girl who wants to spend her last remaining days with her special someone, one last time. Although she can just put it there that the main character can get through her illness and they can live happily but— she didn't. Why? Cause she just wants it.

She used to write stories that have happy endings because she believes that everyone deserves it but things change easily especially if something traumatic happens.

How she wishes to be back to her old days but damn, no matter what she can do, she guesses that if it breaks, it will never be coming back as one again.

She sighs, "No use of thinking about it again, Lu. Tsk." She said to herself.

She wanted to take a nap already but her mind still wants to wander around.

She's now thinking about the characters of her story and admit that even though some of them had an unhappy ending, at least they're lucky that they've met someone in their lives. It's just fiction but she can't help to wonder, when will someone else appear anyway?

Those stories are just fictions but it's in the reality that there will be someone who will pop up in your life and will have the vital role that can make you atleast happy or unfortunately like her stories— tragic.

"They've already met that someone," She said as she remembered her colleagues marrying or dating someone that they love.

So she thought, when will be the right time?

She snorted. "As if it will happen though," She's not really expecting though because she already knew that even if there's someone who will appear— she just can't entertain her feelings.

Because it's already engraved that she'd rather choose her fictions that received some real fantasy.

And because she's already drowning in her reverie, she didn't notice that she had fallen asleep.

But little did she know, the moon from above heard her sayings and planted the fate to start her story.

...

PALE WHITE skin, messy black hair with bangs, squared-like jaw shaped, thick black eyebrows, nut brown pair of orbs, pointed nose, and a bow-shaped thick lips. Tall, had broad shoulders, lean and had tone right muscles that's enough to make him look more manly.

She sighs upon imagining this kind of man's image. Such a perfect fictional character again that she starts to imagine her planned story.

This is her life, no need to rest her mind cause it won't. It is full of ideas and she knows that if she'll not write it down, it will never leave her mind. Although sometimes it's frustrating to the point that she wants to give up— she just can't.

Because this is her life. She must write, write, and write until the fullest. Not just for her satisfaction but enough to make her stay sane.

When she felt her stomach growling, she decided to stand up again from her swivel chair and went out to her room/office.

Her steps that can only be heard inside her small house made her feel empty again.

Well, being alone really sucks. That's her thoughts as she continues to walk towards her kitchenette.

As she prepared her meal— breakfast to be exact, creamed coffee, toasted sandwiches and omelet- something on her mind popped up again so she hurriedly brought it with a tray and went back to her room.

After putting the tray on her side table, she sits on her swivel chair and faces her laptop. She sighs.

Not minding her growling stomach, instead of eating her breakfast, she lets herself drown again in her own fantasy as her fingers continue tapping each key on the specific letters to form up some thousand words enough to create a scene for her story.

She must write or else it'll fade.

...

.

"DONE!" SHE grinned and took a spoonful of omelet to feed her hungry stomach.

At last she's finished after a couple of hours. Her mind is so engrossed in writing and she won't let that opportunity pass.

After munching the food inside her mouth, she took her creamed coffee and when her lips tasted the sweet flavor of the coffee, a satisfying smile appeared on her lips.

"Such a great morning," She said and her sight landed on the window in front of her. The sun was rising which made her feel more ecstatic. A perfect time to enjoy and relax after writing.

Well, this is her life. It's just simple. She lived alone in her house but she isn't lonely because of her passion— writing.

It's just so peaceful. No problems and such and it's enough, isn't it? That's what she thought, but again, little did she know, when the moon would appear again at night— everything that her heart silently wishes for will finally be granted.
