Zack glared at the intruder, Tana, but didn't hesitate to check on Kia, rubbing her head and apologizing. Tana's eyes widened in anger as she took in the scene. Behind her, Daniel stood, his expression unreadable as he gazed at the embracing couple.
Tana lunged at Kia, shouting, "Kia, you bitch!" But Daniel swiftly pulled her back and approached the couple. "Young miss, it's time to go," he said, his voice firm and detached.
Kia's eyes narrowed as she noticed Daniel. An irritated frown appeared on her face, and she wished she could kick him out of the place. She didn't want to leave, not yet. She still had to deal with the cheating couple and cause trouble.
Before she could react, Daniel pushed Zack away and forcefully carried her off. He got her out of the hotel and drove away, Kia was shouting and cursing at him.
"If you continue, I don't mind shutting you up with my mouth or... something else," he said, his smile sending a shiver down Kia's spine.
She knew that smile wasn't just a smile; it was the calm before the storm. She had known Daniel since she was sixteen and was aware of his ruthless nature. As her bodyguard, she had always ordered him around, trying to hide her fear behind a mask of ego.
But now, as they drove away from the hotel, Kia couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. She cursed Zack for putting her in this situation. If it wasn't for him, she and Daniel wouldn't be at odds like this. Daniel was a dangerous man, capable of snapping a throat with ease, and Kia knew she had to tread carefully around him.
"Daniel, let me out. I'm going to tell Dad about this," she screamed, but he behaved like a deaf person, not listening to her. This got her extremely irritated, and she really wanted to jump in front and stop him.
As if her thoughts had been read by him, he stopped abruptly, making her shift in her seat uncontrollably. Daniel went and opened the door, pulled her out, and heartlessly pulled her into the apartment building he had pulled over at.
The apartment wasn't luxurious, and it was so unfamiliar to her that it seemed like it wasn't even in the city. She wondered where he had brought her. He pulled her and took her to an apartment, and immediately they were inside, he brought her to the bathroom, threw her at the shower, and turned it on, wetting her completely.
She struggled all the way, but he pressed her down heartlessly. "Let go, please let go," she pleaded.
"You disobeyed me, Kia," he said, his voice calm, very calm, but holding a hint of danger that made Kia shiver and want to run away, far away from him.
Seeing the scared look in her eyes, as if it had annoyed him, he held her neck, as if strangling her.
"You disobeyed me, now pay for it," he said, and before she knew it, he dipped into her neck, biting her as a heartless glint passed his eyes.
Then he buried his face further into her neck as she screamed. He held her shoulders as she tried to push him away, but he held her firmly. Tears flowed down her cheeks; he was really biting her, he was a monster.
She couldn't do anything as the bite continued, and she decided to give up. But as she did so, the bite soon turned into a soft kiss. He licked where he had bitten and kissed it, then he pulled away and looked at her.
His eyes seemed to bore into her soul, and Kia felt a shiver run down her spine. She was trapped, and she knew it.
He cupped her face, making her tremble. Her mind warned her to run, but her body seemed rooted to the spot. His face moved closer, and her heart racing anxiously, he whispered, "Why didn't you listen to me? I told you, I don't want you with other men."
He leaned down and kissed her, his lips gentle but sending shivers down her spine. He didn't deepen the kiss, just let his lips rest on hers, his hand gliding to her waist. Although scared, Kia couldn't look away, transfixed by his heartless eyes that seemed to hold a deep abyss.
Before she knew it, he had brought her back to the room, lying her on the bed and hovering on top of her, straddling her and holding her hands above her head, caging her in between him. She felt helpless, unable to utter a word. He bent down and whispered, "You're mine."
Kia's emotions were in turmoil. Her bodyguard seemed obsessed with him, but why? They had never had a close touch before, except that one night. Or had he been silently planning this all along? She didn't know what to do, but resisting him might lead to unimaginable consequences.
Instead of feeling offended, Kia was scared and confused. "Why do you do this?" she asked, her voice trembling.
He took a while responding, "Because you're mine." Kia's desperation grew. "But why? We've never known each other," she said, trying to reason with him.
"Because it's you," he replied, his voice firm. He didn't allow her to speak further, kissing her passionately. Kia struggled to hold her breath, and before she knew it, he had let her go and left the room.
She lay on the bed, wondering what she had gotten herself into. She needed to tell her dad, if she had told him earlier, it wouldn't have come to this. She had delayed, fearing her reputation and her dad's reaction. Her dad never differentiated between good and bad men; if you'd slept with him, he would become your husband, and she didn't want Daniel, no matter what.
Kia got off the bed, searching for her bag. It was only after five minutes of searching that she realized it was in the car, left behind in her haste. What to do? She should go get it. She walked to the door and had only held the door knob when it was opened from outside, startling her and making her lose balance. She fell down.
Daniel opened the door and saw her on the floor, a frown appearing on his face. He placed the first aid kit he had brought down and attended to her, carrying her back to the bed. "Do you like the floor so much?" he asked angrily.
Kia kept silent, not uttering a word. He left her and brought the aid kit, starting to treat her wound. Kia would wince in pain at times, and he would blow air on it, becoming much gentler. Kia felt his gentleness, and it surprised her, but she was still scared.
