Ethan and Adelaide mounted the horse, and they rose away leaving behind the Whistle Spider which felt at peace knowing it had escaped death.
"Why did you decide to leave the Whistle Spider?" Ethan asked once they were on the horse.
"Well, that's because I don't want to be the reason for the extinction of its kind," Adelaide replied with a matter of fact tone.
"Do you believe its words?" Ethan asked.
"I don't need to believe it, we just need to confirm it, and I believe the king and queen would have answers to our questions," Adelaide replied smoothly.
"Did you become smarter?" Ethan asked curiously.
"Haven't I always been smart?" Adelaide tilted her head to look at him, with the top of her head reaching his jaws.
"Indeed you have always been smart," Ethan agreed with her with a smile, before increasing the speed of the horse.
