Madeline took a deep breath.
"I deeply apologize for the error I made, Your Highness, please, show magnanimity, and forgive me," Madeline apologized, and though she tried to act sincere, Adelaide and Ethan could sense the insincerity coming from her.
Adelaide and Ethan exchanged glances as they communicated through their looks.
"Apology accepted, you may leave," Ethan dismissed her.
As he was about to help Adelaide into the room, he heard an annoying statement.
"Won't you ask one of your guards to help me back?" Madeline whispered, but it was loud enough for Ethan and Adelaide to hear.
"It is preferable if you sleepwalk back to your chamber, after all, this was how you arrived here," Adelaide was the one who gave a reply this time around.
She wondered what was going on in the mind of Madeline which caused her to make such a weird and stupid request.
Madeline shook. She never expected Adelaide to give such a savage reply.
