Adelaide clenched her fists. Looking at the look on Queen Victoria's face, it was obvious that the Whistle Spider was telling the truth earlier.
"Why does this have to happen? Is this the reason the people from the Holy Land decided for us to stay away from each other? To prevent such things from happening?" Adelaide asked, her voice turning hoarse because she held back her emotions.
"Yes, but it is destiny, you both cannot stay away from each other, no matter how bad they do, you will always find your way back to each other," Queen Victoria sighed.
"What can we do? The people from the Holy Land would try their best to try to separate us," for the first time since she regained her memories, Adelaide felt scared.
She feared being separated from Ethan. She could not bear it. They have been away for a lifetime, and now, another chance was given to them, she was unable to risk this new life given to them.
