Velora spoke in an impatient tone.
What sparing session? What did she mean? Was there a previously arranged training session between him and her? Did she just wany someone to spar with.
Thought ran through Kaelen head as he tried to figure out an answer to her statement.
"It's a bother. But mom asked me to give so some sparing sessions" Velora said as she heaved a sigh.
As Kaelen heard these words he wondered who his mother was and why she was trying to get him killed the second time.
Kaelen ran sacked his memories, trying to find when they had mad such an arrangement.
"Don't make me call you down here again!"
Velora said, a bit of annoyance in her tone.
Kaelen couldn't make up an excuse to get out of this situation. If it was made by his mother, there was nothing he could do to avoid it. He couldn't deny Velora's request. He knew how hot tempered she was and how crazy she can get when things don't go her way. But then again Kaelen had to find a way out of this mess.
"I just remembered i have something to do sister, maybe continue this topic later?" Kaelen said as he slowly stepped back from the balcony.
"And where do you think you're going? Do you want me to get in trouble for disobeying mom's order?" Velora said with anger visible in her tone.
Kaelen knew how his mom was. She was also hot-tempered. In fact all his family members were hot tempered. It was like an hereditary trait passes down from one generation to another. Though,Kaelen's family was a kind one. They were also a dangerous one.
Kaelen signed and accepted defeat as he knew that their was no way to get out of this.
"Fine.." Kaelen spoke as he heaved a sigh of defeat.
He hopped down from the balcony onto the courtyard. It wasn't necessary high so it was an easy jump. Moreover, humans here have more advanced physical abilities than the ones on Earth.
He stood before her in the courtyard with an exhausted expression on his face.
Velora threw a practice sword at him. Kaelen caught the sword as he cast her a confused expression.
"I thought were gonna be learning magical control" Kaelen asked with a curious expression.
"Yes, we are going to learn combat abilities mixed with magic." Velora spoke confidently.
Kaelen knew what she meant but it felt like a challenge to him. He wasn't the previous Kaelen who could possessed impressive combat and magical prowess.
Though, he knew how to channel magical energy and all that. He feared the intense training he would have to through with Velora.
She was three years older than him, which meant she possessed unmatched combat abilities due to years of training.
For Kaelen, this would be the first time holding a sword. But then again, he had to play the part. He wasn't going to lose to his arrogant sister.
Suddenly a new notification came up...

Kaelen's eyes widened in shock as he read the task given.
Why would the System give such a task? Was it trying to get him killed? How was he supposed to complete the task without dying? Thoughts ran through Kaelen's head as he tried figuring out a way to complete the task. The chances of him completing the task with no major damage, were zero next to none.

"Are going to keep standing there or are you going to come at me?" Velora said as she channeled her magic into the sword at hand.

Kaelen saw her glowing blade at hand. He needed to come up with a solution now or else he would never get to grope those soft marshmallows.
Suddenly an idea struck him.
"How about we make an arrangement?" Kaelen said with a sly grin etched across his face.
Velora looked at him with confusion as she wondered what type of arrangement he talked about. The light from her blade slowly dimmed untill it completely dissipated.
"An arrangement? You mean like a deal?" Velora asked with curiosity on her face.
"Yes, something like that. I believe that i can defeat you in duel" Kaelen said with confidence.
Velora looked at a him for some seconds before letting out a loud laugh.
"Haha...you really think you can beat me in a duel?" Velora asked while chuckling at him.
Kaelen kept his calm composure as he replied her.
"Yes i do believe i can shut that arrogant trap for you" Kaelen said replying to her mockery.
Velora expression changed immediately as her anger boiled up within her.
"You little brat!!" Was all she said.
"I said i want to make a deal with you" Kaelen spoke firmly.
Velora remained silent as she waited to hear what he had in mind.
"If l beat you in a duel, you have to submit your body to me for the rest of the day" Kaelen spoke calmly.
Velora was visibly taken aback by his perverted request.
"Are you out of your mind? There's no way in hell I'll let you lay your filthy hands on me" Velora spoke with annoyance in her tone.
"So that means you admit to the fact that i surpass you in combat?" Kaelen spoke in a low tone. Carefully chosing his next words.
Velora was a bit dumbfounded as she remained silent for a minute. If she back down now from a duel, it would be a shame to her womanly pride and a disgrace to the warrior code. She wasn't afraid of the fact that her brother had made a perverted request. She could easily take him down. Or so she believed.
"It's still a decade to soon for yoi to surpass me" Velora spoke in a confident manner as she hung her sword behind het shoulders.
"Would you like to find out which one of us surpasses the other?" Kaelen spoke calmly, urging her to accept the deal.
Velora remained silent for some seconds before finally replying.
"What do i get in return for defeating you?" Velora asked with a bit of curiosity in her tone.
"Anything you want" Kaelen said with a bright smile as he opened his arms wide.
Velora contemplated on his request for some seconds before giving her reply.
"Well, you could never surpass me" Velora spoke confidently.
"So it's a deal then?" Kaelen asked.
"Yes"
