Chapter 31 - Can't Kill Me

Erza grew tense upon hearing that the newly unblocked magic was a mass-killing spell.

As a dark guild, Eisenwald was surely planning something horrific, especially with the power of such a deadly weapon. If they weren't stopped, countless innocent lives could be lost.

Before long, they arrived at Kuluji Railway Station.

The station was cordoned off by the military, and a crowd had gathered, buzzing with nervous chatter.

"A man with a scythe broke in with a group," someone muttered.

"That's Erigor!" Erza recognized the description, as Erigor was known for wielding a scythe like the Grim Reaper.

"I know! Those are the Dark Guild members from nearby!"

"It's Eisenwald!" Lucy exclaimed, eyes wide.

"I left something more important than my wife on that train," another person muttered.

Su Yan shook his head in disbelief. *More important than his wife?* Did his wife even know?

"Did they hijack the train?!" Lucy asked, stunned.

"But why?"

The group was puzzled.

Lucy questioned aloud, "Why would they hijack a train? Trains can only move along tracks. If it's blocked ahead, they'll just be stopped by the army eventually, right?"

"Even so, ordinary soldiers can't counter a magic-wielding dark guild," Erza replied, her face stern.

"The real question," Su Yan said, raising an eyebrow, "is why they'd hijack a train after getting this spell. What's so urgent that they need to act now?" Su Yan wracked his brain, struggling to recall this part of the story—it had been ages since he'd watched *Fairy Tail.*

But for him, it didn't really matter. If needed, he'd take them down head-on.

"No, we have to stop them!" Erza's determination was evident.

"But how?" Lucy asked. "The train is fast—how can we catch up?"

"Don't worry. I know a shortcut," Su Yan replied. He'd roamed these parts for years and knew a route that could intercept the train.

"Lead the way!" Erza revved her magic quadricycle and sped off.

Meanwhile, Kageyama sat on the hijacked train, still nursing the bruises from Natsu's punch.

Erigor approached him, questioning what happened, and Kageyama reluctantly explained his encounter with Natsu.

"A fly?" Erigor smirked.

"A fly... on this very train? What an idiot!"

Two razor-sharp wind blades zipped past Kageyama's head.

One of his ears was sliced, and he screamed, clutching the wound as he knelt.

"He didn't spot us, did he?" Erigor sneered.

"Even if he did," Kageyama stammered, "it wouldn't change the plan, right?"

"Of course! But I don't want any interference. Understood?"

Gulping, the Eisenwald members exchanged glances, shaken by Erigor's ruthlessness.

"This fly… he won't get far!" Erigor declared, his eyes cold.

Just then, the Eisenwald members in the train's cab spotted a lone figure on the tracks up ahead.

"What? Is someone blocking the train?"

"Should we stop?"

"No need. Looks like he wants to end it here. Speed up! We'll give him his wish."

On the track, Su Yan stood calmly, hands in his pockets, a slight smile on his face as the train barreled toward him.

"Su Yan! What are you doing?!" Lucy cried in terror. "Move! The train is coming!" She rushed forward, intending to pull him away.

But Erza held her back, smiling confidently. "Don't worry. Su Yan will be fine."

"What?!"

"Su Yan is the strongest!" added Happy.

"Ugh!" Natsu grunted, still motion-sick, but nodding in agreement.

The train sped closer, but Su Yan remained unfazed.

Lucy closed her eyes, bracing herself for what she thought was inevitable.

*Boom!!!*

The collision was catastrophic, as if two trains had slammed into each other. The train's front was crushed like a tin can, while the cars behind tilted and vaulted upward, piling up in a wreck.

Lucy's jaw dropped in shock.

Erza, Natsu, and Happy were just as stunned, expecting Su Yan to be fine, but not for the train to be decimated by his mere presence. His strength was beyond belief.

With a casual step, Su Yan emerged from the twisted wreckage of the locomotive, completely unharmed.

"Looks like a train isn't enough to kill me!"

"A monster!!!" Lucy screamed, covering her face in horror.
