Fairy Tail's Fire Dragon was a well-known wizard, and adding the 'Fairy Queen' Erza to the mix made Eisenwald's supposedly secretive plan feel doomed.
"Shut up!" Erigor snapped. "They're just a bunch of Fairy Tail brats! They can't stop me! Anyone who stands in my way dies!"
Erigor was seething. He finally had the cursed song, and nothing could jeopardize his mission now.
"First things first, let's get rid of you, pest!" he snarled, eyes locked on Su Yan. Bringing his fingers together, he summoned a sharp wind blade and hurled it toward Su Yan's neck.
"Take this!"
Su Yan lifted his hand calmly.
"Fool!"
*Crash!*
The wind blade struck Su Yan's palm, but he held it effortlessly, crushing it into blue sparks that faded into the air.
"What?! Impossible!" Erigor's eyes widened in shock.
Su Yan smiled. "Is that all? The title 'Death God' sounds scary, but your magic is barely average."
"Don't get cocky!" Erigor's hands moved swiftly, channeling his fury.
"Storm Wave!"
A powerful tornado erupted from his palms, spiraling toward Su Yan.
Su Yan's mouth curled into a grin. "Now this is interesting."
He gripped his mace tightly, bracing himself, and with a powerful swing, unleashed a force that shattered the tornado. The remnants blasted back, hitting Erigor with the force of a wrecking ball.
"Ahhhh!"
Erigor screamed as he was sent flying.
"Mr. Erigor!" The Eisenwald members gasped, their confidence shattered as they watched their strongest member tossed aside like a rag doll. If Erigor fell, they were finished.
Slowly, Erigor rose to his feet, hovering in midair. Wiping the blood from his mouth, he glared at Su Yan. "I underestimated you. With strength like that, you must be someone notable in Fairy Tail."
Su Yan shrugged. "More or less."
Erigor sneered. "It doesn't matter who you are. This warm-up is over; time to get serious."
Crossing his arms, he chanted, "Storm Coat!"
A fierce wind surrounded him, swirling faster and faster until it formed a cloak of compressed air around his body, like armor forged from a storm.
"Whoa!" Natsu gawked.
"Is that armor made of wind?" Lucy gasped.
Erza's gaze hardened. "Erigor's 'Death God' title isn't just for show. His strength is formidable."
Erigor shot down from the air, aiming a double kick at Su Yan.
Su Yan raised his arm, meeting the kick with a block.
*Boom!* The ground beneath Su Yan cracked, but he didn't flinch.
"Not bad," Su Yan said, a smirk playing on his lips.
"Arrogant brat!" Erigor's anger flared. He swung his scythe toward Su Yan's neck, aiming to end the fight.
*Clang!*
The scythe struck Su Yan's neck but didn't leave a mark. Erigor recoiled, his confidence shaken. *What is he made of?* he wondered, horrified.
Su Yan tilted his neck, unfazed. "Is that it?"
Erigor's face twisted with rage. Those two words felt like a slap to the face.
"Go to hell!" he shouted, thrusting his hand forward. "Storm Crush!"
A barrage of wind blades tore through the air toward Su Yan.
Su Yan swung his mace, shattering many of the blades, while the ones that reached him broke on impact against his body.
"No… it's impossible!" Erigor's voice wavered, doubt creeping into his heart.
The rest of the Eisenwald members were equally horrified. Was this guy invincible?
Karacka, watching Su Yan closely, paled as if realizing something terrible. "No… it can't be… he's…"
Su Yan met Erigor's eyes, still smiling. "So-so. Got anything stronger? If you keep trying, maybe you'll break my defense."
Erigor's face flushed with fury. "You arrogant brat! How dare you look down on me!"
Su Yan laughed. "Looking down? You flatter yourself. I'm not even paying attention to you."
