Chapter 36 - "In the Heart of the Storm"

"In every step we take through the darkness of the land, we create a light that guides us toward our destiny."

Deep in a dense forest, a masked warrior wandered slowly, his footsteps slipping between the trees as his

mask concealed his dark intentions. The shadows dominated the area, and the atmosphere was dim and unfamiliar.

Suddenly, the warrior stopped when he heard whispers drifting through the wind. A group of people was talking nearby, so he moved closer to listen carefully.

"Have you heard about those mercenaries, the Bow of Fire?" one of them said, his voice filled with awe. "They destroyed the biggest killer gang and two tyrannical kings in the Chaos Lands. They say they came from beyond a great wall... It seems their goals are noble."

The masked warrior's heart clenched as he heard these words. The information he had just learned was more than he had expected. "The Bow of Fire?" he muttered under his breath in anger. "That boy... He really is stalling his return. I'll grant him that wish To correct your mistakes, and if you do not do so, you will be dead , and he will regret it."

A sense of malice spread across his gaze as he continued through the forest, his eyes filled with determination. He now knew he had to act quickly and cautiously, especially after discovering their existence.

Two days after their arduous journey, Randall's team moved cautiously through a dense forest path. Thick fog blanketed everything, making visibility almost impossible. Suddenly, a large tunnel carved into the mountain appeared before them, with mist seeping out as if the tunnel itself were alive.

The team stopped at the entrance of the tunnel.

Randall examined it closely:

"This is the only path ahead. There's no turning back."

Lara added:

"But the fog... I don't feel good about this."

Erian volunteered to scout the tunnel with a few soldiers. Moving carefully, he lit a small torch to illuminate the darkness. The interior was bleak, with claw-like marks etched into the walls. Suddenly, the faint sound of wings flapping echoed through the tunnel.

Erian whispered:

"Stay alert... something's here."

Scene 2: Attack of the Giant Bats

As the team advanced cautiously, they spotted a group of giant bats hanging from the ceiling of the tunnel. At first, the bats seemed dormant, but a soldier's misstep caused a small rock to fall. The bats awoke instantly, emitting deafening screeches.

The sound was excruciating, forcing everyone to clutch their ears in pain. Rocks began to crumble as the screeches shook the tunnel's foundation.

Randall shouted:

"Cover your ears with anything you can and get ready to fight!"

Seizing the moment, Randall charged forward, unleashing a powerful strike with his lightning-infused sword. Electric energy surged through the air, striking several bats and sending them crashing to the ground.

At the same time, Lara raised her hand and created a glowing rift of light on the tunnel's ceiling. The blinding light caused the bats to recoil instinctively.

Lara:

"Take advantage of this! Move now!"

The team took the opportunity to escape the tunnel, but the screeches continued, making every step a battle for survival. Finally, they emerged from the tunnel, gasping for air.

Scene 3: Larios Regains His Strength

Far from the forest, Larios still struggled with his weakness. He tried to stand, but his body refused to respond.

Mathias approached, holding a vial containing a potion made from rare herbs extracted from ancient flowers of a long-lost kingdom.

Mathias:

"Drink this. It's a restorative potion used to replenish warriors' energy."

Larios drank the potion slowly, feeling a warm sensation spreading through his body, as if life itself was being restored. Moments later, he managed to stand, though he sensed something unusual within him.

"This potion... it feels like more than just a remedy."

Mathias I know that those flowers that we took from that former kingdom were not in vain
