Chapter 37 - "Investigation in the Shadows"

"In every step taken by the warrior, an unseen mission lies, and the truth awaits to emerge at the decisive moment."

A scene of Arman entering one of the tents where Mathias and Larios were being treated. Arman replies, "Has he recovered?" he replies. "Matthias's world looks like that." Larios replies, "I have brought you a lot of trouble and problems. I will leave as mercenaries." Mathias wonders.

Before Larious could respond, Arman, the leader of the mercenaries, entered. His face showed indifference, but the cunning in his eyes was unmistakable. He placed his hand on Larious' shoulder and spoke in a harsh tone, "Boy, you really give up too quickly. You think leaving here will solve your problems? No, it's not like that. Once you joined us, you have to prove your strength here. If you want to leave, here's the way, but be warned, leaving means you can't come back."

Larious was deep in thought, but he felt a new fire rising in his heart. "I'll stay here, I'll grow strong."

Far away in the mountains, another man, dressed in a gray cloak, with a sharp, calculating look, felt something unusual in the air. He heard distant voices speaking of the Firebow Mercenaries. It looks like a huge eagle He repeated to himself, saying, "It seems she is one of the monsters again."

The man pondered those words in silence, then whispered to himself, "That boy... he seems to be stalling his return. Well, I'll give him what he wants, but he'll regret it soon."

He noticed footprints of a black seed in a strange-looking land. He threw it into a river and was surprised by the death of fish there. It floated on a river. He looked away at one of the high mountains known for their size and danger, inhabited by some eagles. He headed there in search of an answer.

He quickly moved through the mountains With his shadow scythe , chasing a massive crystal beast, the giant eagle. The eagle, using fierce winds in its attack, approached swiftly. The man moved with incredible skill, disappearing into the shadows, then reappearing in front of the eagle, which was trapped between thorny spikes. In a swift motion, he struck it down with his sharp blade, killing it instantly.

The man retrieved his sickle quickly and raised a piece of paper with notes written on it: "Recent beast attacks on locations." He then looked into the distance where he saw violent winds emerging from one of the caves. It was the winds that Lara had unleashed during the previous battle against the bats. "The battle is far from over," he muttered to himself.

Meanwhile, Randell and his team were trekking through the Chaos Lands, the sky above them thick with dark clouds. "Not much farther until we reach the Sacred Tree," Randell said with determination, his sharp eyes scanning the ground.

Suddenly, a man appeared in front of them, holding a sickle, his intentions clear. "Does this tree have anything to do with the beast attacks?" he asked in a low voice.

Randell glared at him and said, "Who the hell are you?"

The man replied, "I'm Isaac, one of the senior investigators here in the Chaos Lands. I've been sent here to uncover the reason behind these strange attacks by the crystal beasts. They are not like this. From your words, it seems you're heading for the Sacred Tree. I don't know much about it, but getting there isn't easy."

Isaac smiled mysteriously as he looked at Randell and his team. "If you let me join you, perhaps I can be of help."

Randell thought for a moment and then asked, "What do you know about it?"

Isaac smiled and said, "Let me join you, and I'll see what I can do."

Iryan looked at him cautiously and said, "Alright, let's see your skills in this mission."

As the team continued toward the unknown, they knew this adventure was far more dangerous than they had anticipated. Each step took them closer to an uncertain confrontation. The Sacred Tree was their goal, but the shadows that followed them indicated that the real battle had yet to begin.
