Chapter 6 - Aurora

"You have cleared your first trail."

Said a soft voice as all the pain went away, the sweat, the blood washed by a wave that felt like he was bathing in a hotspring. After he went inside his book, he wanted to inspect his rewards:

Tier: first

Book rank: pure black

Attribute: void

Familiar: Scarlett the raven wolf

Spells: void, void flame, and void control

"Void control and void flame?"

Said in confusion while he focused on the void

control, spell description:

Makes the wielder able to have absolute control over the void.

"Absolute control."He cracked a grin as he focused on Void Flame, spell description:

A flame made from the void and burns, absorbing anything and everything in its path.

"Well... Well... Well, the flame from hell is now a flame from the void." The grin getting even bigger and darker, remembering something, he woke up and started running. The nurses in the room monitoring him were momentarily shocked because the speed of the patient was so fast their eyes couldn't receive the light to know that he wasn't, but for Lunar, he just kept running till he got to a room and came in to find it empty. He ran to the reception to ask about his mother. When he said her name, the nurse's expression became grim as she said:

"I'm...sorry we really tried."

The nurse gave him the information as to the graveyard she was in. He went with all his speed, and almost in tears, he found Richard, the man that had briefed him before the trial, and in almost tears, Lunar asked:

"Why... Why are you here, of all places?"

Richard cracked a reassuring smile and replied:

"You stay only a week in a trail, so I waited here knowing you would come, and if you hadn't, then you were dead." The man left Lunar with his mother, saying in between tears:

"I made it; sorry to make you wait."

In a while Richard returned and took the man to the rehabilitation hospital for writers.

They had made it so some writers wouldn't go insane after a week; he would be let out.

"Hello, Lunar," said the old man while rolling down the windows of a luxurious car. They had some small talk in the car, but when they got to the office of the old man in the building,

Where it all began, the man started:

"Lunar, there are 3 main ranking systems: 1 for books, 1 for humans, and 1 for abominations. Humans have Tiers 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. You're the first tier, and there are about 10,000 tier 2 and only 500 tier 3. And the

Fourth and fifth, and they had not been reached yet. There are authors to people who have mastered their attributes. There are only 3; there were 5, a couple, the last 2. They died fighting a pure gray abomination and died leaving their only daughter." There was a little silence, and then the old man continued:

"Books, on the other hand, go from gray to white. There are 3 ranks in between and 5 shades to each rank, and attributes are what your book specializes in. Last but definitely not least are abominations; they are ranked by how dark their book is. It goes from white to black and..." Lunar cut him in the middle of his talk and said:

"What if a human's book was black?"

Startled by the questions, he swiftly replied:

"It's impossible."Then the old man froze as a book titled Cosmic Void appeared with a pure black and purple cover. It was unlike anything he had seen. He was surprised, but he gave Lunar a warning:

"Don't tell anyone but your trusted ones that you have that."Lunar nodes and gestured for the man to continue:

"And there is something I must add: you have to make a soul bond; there are partners called soulmates, and there are cohorts made of 6; now back then there were cohorts of 5 and no partners." The man grinned and said:

"I already picked your partner; she is the daughter of said heroes." Lunar was shocked for 2 reasons: that the man picked his partner and that she is the daughter of the 2 heroes of humanity. The man simply dialed a number, and in a minute there was a knock.

"Come in." An elegant woman entered with tall white hair and pure blue eyes that looked like ice and a white face that seemed to be glowing with a thin, short body a little shorter than his. At that moment he realized he was much taller than before, but examining him closer, he noticed that she had a needle in her hand. Then the woman spoke with an elegant, soft voice:

"I am Aurora; nice to meet you, Lunar."
