Chapter 4 - Chapter Four(Isla's Reassurance)

James returned to the beach after the incident to check on his daughter. To his relief, he found Isla still there with Iris. He asked her to go back home after ensuring the seal's stable condition and that she was doing better now. Isla, especially after seeing her father, began to move slowly. The smile returned to Isla's angelic face as she gently bid farewell to Iris and left her peacefully sleeping, returning home with Rocky.

Her father sat in the living room watching his favorite series, while he was engrossed as usual in his research, which he continued after exhausting dives and explorations in the depths of the sea. Isla asked him, saying:

"Father, have you still not achieved what you desire?"

Her father replied:

"It's not easy, my daughter. It requires effort, patience, and time. It's not an easy task."

Isla answered:

"I hope your wish comes true, Father, so you can rest from all this trouble."

Her father responded:

"To me, it's not a trouble, Isla, but my passion. I dive into the depths of the sea, exploring another life and a fascinating world."

Isla smiled and said:

"Thank you, Father, for saving Iris' life. I almost lost my mind out of fear for her."

Her father replied:

"That's my duty, my daughter. I live to protect and preserve these vulnerable creatures."

Isla prepared dinner and sat with her father to eat, engaging in conversation while also feeding Rocky. She felt tired, as it had been an unusual day for her. She felt exhausted and considered lying down on her bed early. She kissed her father on the forehead, bid farewell to Rocky, and went up to her room.

As she lay on her bed, she remembered the moment when Iris was on the verge of life and death. She wondered to herself, "What if fate had taken her away from us? Her presence has become an essential part of my life. With her, I lived the best days of my life and created beautiful memories. She has become an inseparable part of me, and her presence is necessary for my happiness." With these thoughts, Isla turned off the light, drifted off to sleep, and a smile of joy for Iris' salvation graced her face.
