Chapter Nine.
Vivian took a firm step forward and fasted her pace; she wanted to confirm all her doubts. She once saw Mia entering a luxurious car before, and now in a luxurious boutique. What exactly is happening?
It doesn't take long before Vivian touches the person she sees, and her mouth leaves a gap in shock.
"Mia??" Vivian thought she was right, however, the person wasn't Mia.
"Who are you? Why are they touching me in that manner?" The lady in a white T-shirt gown gives Vivian a stern look.
Vivian bit her bottom lip; the fact that she chose the wrong person was quite annoying, not to talk of apologizing. She can't bring herself to apologize to someone like that.
"You look like someone I knew"After saying that, Vivian walked away majestically without a backward glance. At least, she maintains her composure.
By that time, the door opens and Richard walks in. His eyes scanned around for Mia, but he couldn't find her.
He brought his phone out and wanted to dial her number but it hit hard when he realized he didn't have her number in the first place.
Meanwhile, Vivian saw Richard as soon as he walked in. It was quite surprising that she was seeing those annoying creatures during the day.
Looking at the way Richard was glancing around the boutique, it seemed like it was his first time there, and that made Vivian happy. Someone low like Richard doesn't belong here!
"Is this not the fake Richard Brown?" Vivian's mocking voice penetrates the fog with her heels making a resounding sound as she walks up to Richard.
Richard turned and saw Vivian walking towards him, a deadly grin secretly appeared on his face but it disappeared almost immediately.
"It's good to see my in-law again," He said with a smile as Vivian approached him.
However, Vivian felt ridiculous the moment Richard called her his in-law. How can someone poor like Richard have a conversation with her?
It seems her mother made a better choice in matching Mia and Richard together. Who would fall for Richard's handsome face when he was far from wealthy?
"Don't ever open your stinky mouth to call me that again" Vivian warned through gritted teeth.
Vivian thought she had threatened Richard but he was enjoying the show instead. "I hope my sister-in-law will have a great time here" He mouthed, raising his voice a little. This time, few attention was on them.
Vivian won't let Richard win over her, not even in a game like this. She would make Richard regret opening his mouth at that moment.
She clears her throat, tucks her hair backward, and folds her hands beneath her chest. "What exactly are you doing here?" Vivian covered her mouth dramatically when she realized something. "Oh my gosh! Don't tell me you came here to buy cheaper clothes?"
Vivian had a smirk on as their eyes scanned Richard's clothes; green pants with a white shirt looked good on him. Even though she always buys the latest and limited edition, Vivian has never come across such shabby clothes like that. It appears that Richard was putting on fairly used or probably some cheaper clothes.
"Oh, dearie! Your generation can never afford the lowest clothes here! It is better you go back to where you bought these fairly used clothes," Vivian mocked cheerfully.
Soon, people started gathering around them as they were amused by the situation, especially the women. No one thought someone handsome like Richard would put on fairly used clothes.
Richard was calm as ever, he was thinking of a way to deal with Vivian instead. When he had thought, someone beat him to it.
"What exactly are you trying to do, Vivian?" Mia's voice comes from behind.
The person Vivian saw earlier happened to be Mia, but she was quick to notice Vivian as she walked into the mall, and then Mia hid herself. Where she was hiding, she saw her lilac color gown and put it on before hearing the argument going on.
Mia, who thought she had escaped from Vivian, now sees Vivian as she bullied Richard. If Vivian knew Richard's identity, she might be on her knees by now.
Filled with anger, Mia decided to step in. This time around, she was going to appear stronger unlike before, when she was weak.
Vivian laughed sarcastically when she saw Mia coming. However, her face turned scarlet in anger when Mia was putting on the same gown she wanted to buy.
Vivian shouted in anger. "Why are you putting on that gown? It's not meant for you!"
Mia folds her hands beneath her chest and walks a bit closer to Vivian in slow motion. Her voice was loud and clear, her tone was firm with no hint of fear. "I've never heard of a boutique gown solely made for one person. It doesn't have anyone's name on it! You get the dress once you paid for it!"
Vivian was shocked by Mia's response; she never expected the fearful Mia to stand tall in front of her. However, she covers her shocked expression with a disdainful one before saying. "Do you think someone like you can afford the gown you are putting on?"
"Excuse ma'am. You have said that countless times already! It is fine if I'm not capable of buying the dress, why don't you buy it for me instead? And maybe, you can for everyone else in the boutique today. Let us know the person that can afford things" Mia mouthed calmly, a deadly smirk dancing at the corner of her lips as she fixed her gaze on Vivian.
Richard wanted to dance at that moment because he was feeling too good time. It's a showtime. Although he was surprised to see Mia's reaction to the fact that the moment seemed like an anticipating ball score, he was watching with much seriousness.
A cold sweat broke out of Vivian's body the moment Mia made such a request. The Guilford family might be capable but not to the existence of buying things for everyone!
It seems she has dug out her own grave!
When Mia noticed Vivian's expression, a sa
tisfactory smile spread across her face.
"Are you going to buy or not?"
