Chapter 28 - Chapter 27

"Yesterday's combat training, you worked hard," Aizawa Shouta, looking as lazy as ever, said from the podium. "I watched the VTR and reviewed the grades. Bakugo, you have talent, but don't pull that kind of childish behavior again."

"I know," Bakugo Katsuki muttered, lips curling in irritation.

"Then… Midoriya." Aizawa sighed. "Ended up with a broken arm again, didn't you?"

Midoriya's broken arm was a result of his fight with Tokoyami Fumikage. In darkness, Tokoyami's Quirk, Dark Shadow, grows much stronger but harder to control. The dimly lit building amplified its power significantly, leaving Midoriya with no choice but to use One For All, leading to his injury.

"Learn to control your Quirk. Stop hiding behind excuses like 'I can't help it.' This won't cut it with me. I hate repeating myself, so I'll say it once more—overcome this, and a lot more will be within reach," Aizawa instructed with a hard look.

"Yes, sir!" Midoriya nodded, determination in his eyes.

"And now, Akira." Aizawa turned to him, sitting in the last row by the window, his tone showing approval. "Taking on two powerful Quirks without backing down—that's impressive. You have the makings of an outstanding Pro Hero."

"Thank you, Mr. Aizawa, for the recognition." Akira stood, giving a respectful bow.

"Cut the act," Bakugo Katsuki grumbled, clearly annoyed.

Their classmates shot Akira envious looks. Getting praise from Mr. Aizawa was no small feat.

"Quiet!" Ida Tenya suddenly stood up, commanding everyone's attention. Aizawa had wrapped himself in his yellow sleeping bag, looking like a caterpillar. Shoto Todoroki, seated nearby, stayed silent, a neutral expression on his face, though he seemed focused on Akira.

"Now for the main topic. I know this might seem sudden," Aizawa continued. "But today, we'll be choosing the class representative…"

The students let out a collective sigh of relief. "Finally, something normal!" they thought.

Everyone immediately started nominating themselves. Akira stayed silent—he wasn't interested in the class rep role. He thought Ida Tenya was the most suitable for it anyway.

"Order, please!" Ida called, standing again, and the chatter quieted down as everyone turned to him. "This position is not a joke. It's a responsibility that requires trust and respect from classmates. Simply wanting the title isn't enough. Therefore, I propose we hold a democratic vote to choose the person best suited for the role."

Everyone looked surprised, especially since Ida had his hand raised just moments before.

"But why go to such lengths?" Kaminari Denki asked.

"We've only just met and don't know each other well yet," Tsuyu Asui said, touching her cheek thoughtfully.

"Still, a proper vote will allow us to choose someone genuinely deserving of the role," Ida said seriously, then looked to Aizawa. "What do you think, sir?"

Aizawa, wrapped in his sleeping bag, simply said, "Do whatever you want, as long as you decide in this class."

After the discussion and voting, the results came in. Akira, Momo Yaoyorozu, and Izuku Midoriya each had two votes. Everyone else had voted for themselves.

Seeing the names on the board, Akira thought, "It should've been Midoriya first, followed by Yaoyorozu, but we're tied now."

"Who dared to vote for that show-off?" Bakugo Katsuki growled, slamming his fist on the table.

"Well, it's better than voting for you," Sero Hanta chuckled.

"What did you say, you extra?!" Bakugo looked ready to fight.

Akira stood and said, "I'll give up my spot as class rep. I'll cast my two votes for Ida."

"As if you could become class rep by giving it to someone else," Bakugo muttered.

Ignoring Bakugo's complaints, Akira looked at Ida.

"Mr. Akira, why give me your votes? Are you really not interested in the position?" Ida asked, surprised.

"I just believe you're the best candidate for the job," Akira replied, thinking Ida's sense of responsibility made him perfect for the role.

"Thank you, Akira," Ida replied, genuinely grateful.

In the end, Ida Tenya was chosen as class rep, while Yaoyorozu became the vice-rep after Midoriya also stepped down. Though Momo Yaoyorozu was still curious why Akira had given up the role—he certainly had the skills to handle it.

Akira simply preferred his freedom over the responsibilities of managing others.

Later, as lunch rolled around, Akira recalled that an emergency would happen today. Reporters would break through the school's barriers, causing a commotion that would lead the students to believe it was a Villain attack.

He decided to head to the cafeteria a little later than usual to avoid the chaos. However, the place was still packed. Students from the Support and Business Departments were also there, filling the area with excited chatter.

Akira spotted Midoriya, Ida, and Uraraka sitting nearby, chatting, just as the alarm sounded.

"Riiiiing!"

A loud, piercing alarm filled the cafeteria. Panic washed over the students; they knew this sound only activated if the school was breached.

"Safety level 3 has been compromised. Please proceed to the outdoor shelters immediately," a voice announced over the intercom.

"Excuse me, what does level 3 mean?" Ida asked a nearby student.

"It means someone broke into the school building," the student replied, running off. "This hasn't happened in three years. You should evacuate too!"

As panic spread, students pushed and shoved toward the exit, causing a bottleneck. Akira, unfazed, continued eating his meal slowly, observing the chaos around him. Nearby, Shoto Todoroki also sat calmly, eating his food without any urgency.

"Oh?" Akira smirked, picking up his tray and sitting down across from Todoroki. "Still so calm at a time like this?"

Todoroki looked up, surprised, but quickly shrugged it off. "Panicking is pointless. If it really were Villains, rushing toward the exit would only play into their hands," he replied, his tone cool and composed.

Akira was impressed. "You're right. Quite insightful, Todoroki."
