Shoto Todoroki sometimes found Akira a bit rude. Given his strength, he could easily intimidate others with a colder, more detached attitude. But, unlike Akira, Todoroki preferred not to talk, especially with people he didn't know well.
Outside, a female reporter demanded, "Let All Might out. He must be in there."
Present Mic sighed. "I told you, he's not working today."
The reporter pressed on. "If he comes out and says something, we'll leave."
Aizawa stepped in, blocking their way. "If we give an inch, you'll take a mile."
Present Mic leaned toward him and whispered, "They're basically trespassing. Like Villains. Can I, uh, knock them away?"
"Don't," Aizawa replied, eyes half-closed. "They'll just report you. Let's wait for the police."
Aizawa and Present Mic tried to handle the press, carefully staying within the rules. Finally, Tenya Iida managed to calm the chaotic crowd of students just as the police arrived to disperse the reporters.
Afterward, Principal Nezu stood at the gate, observing the damage to the school's protective barriers. "Ordinary media wouldn't do something like this. Someone is pushing them—or maybe someone evil is in the mix, plotting against us."
The teachers nodded in agreement. It was clear that someone had instigated this, and they suspected a Villain was behind it.
Akira sensed a storm brewing with the Villain Alliance on the horizon. After school, he prepared for action, donning a black cloak and gliding between buildings, eyes trained on the city's dark alleys and camera blind spots.
In one narrow alley, a young man with red hair held a sword to a frightened man in glasses, sneering, "Hand over the cash, or face the consequences."
The bespectacled man, though clearly frightened, tried to stay calm. "This is wrong. If you abuse your quirk on civilians, the Heroes will come after you."
"Heroes?" The red-haired thug laughed. "They can't help you now."
A voice echoed from above. "Oh, I wouldn't count on that." A shadowy figure dropped down, cloaked in black, face obscured.
The red-haired thug squinted, wary. "Who are you?"
Akira paused, considering. "A legend of the night, cleaning up scum like you."
"You're crazy!" The thug kicked the bespectacled man aside and charged, his quirk enhancing his strength to deliver a punch that could fell an average man. But as he swung, Akira didn't budge.
The thug suddenly crumpled to the ground, clutching his broken teeth.
Akira leaned in. "Convinced yet?"
The thug stammered, "W-What did you do?"
Akira smirked. "I asked if you were convinced." With a casual slap, he knocked out another tooth.
The thug finally cried, "Alright, alright! I give up!"
A notification flashed in Akira's mind: *+50 salvation points for rescuing Murata Moto.*
Akira turned to the bespectacled man. "Call the police and hand him over." Then he shot back up into the night, disappearing from view.
"That… was incredible," the man with glasses whispered in awe.
Similar encounters happened all evening, and by the time the night was over, Akira had earned 700 salvation points. The name "Legend of the Night" spread throughout the city. People saw him as a vigilante cleaning up the streets, but pro Heroes were less enthusiastic, seeing him as a rogue operating without a license, a potential risk.
Back at home, Akira took a hot shower and ordered takeout before eagerly starting his next lottery draw.
*"Obtained System Item - Qi Pill"*
*"Obtained System Item - Love Chocolate"*
The first item delighted him, but the second one? "Is this system a snack shop?" he muttered, half-joking. Still, he thought he'd give the chocolates to Inoue Sakura, who often looked out for him.
Akira ate the Qi Pill and began his evening meditation. Every day, he trained on the rooftop, knowing that persistence was key. The pill's energy flowed through him, boosting his strength.
The next morning, he felt himself reach the second level of Qi training.
With renewed confidence, he went to the mall, purchasing a quirk enhancement pill to level up his "Thunder Strike" ability.
*Thunder Strike LV3 - [100/300]*
*Air Control LV3 - [150/300]*
In his storage: a black dress, quirk supplement, love chocolate, and toothpaste.
Now fully prepared, Akira felt ready for the Villain Alliance's coming assault, even prepared to help All Might through whatever lay ahead.
