Chapter 7 - Register Adventurers In The Guild

They both eagerly devoured their meal until nothing was left. After finishing and paying (-2 silver coins), Furan and Anori set off for the guild in town to register as adventurers. The guild wasn't far from the restaurant, which explained the slightly high food prices in the area.

As Furan entered, he went straight to the receptionist, feeling a tense atmosphere in the guild. People were fighting, some lay bleeding on the floor, and someone flew right past him as he opened the door. The noise was overwhelming, so he decided to hurry to the receptionist while holding Anori's hand.

"Hello, I'd like to register as an adventurer," said Furan.

"Hello there! My name is Ririn. I'm the assistant manager here and handle everything. And who is this adorable little girl?" Ririn asked with a curious smile.

"Anori, introduce yourself," Furan prompted.

"Hi...my name is Anori. I'm Furan's little sister," Anori replied.

"Aww...so cute! To register, you'll need to meet a few requirements, including specific skills and supportive abilities," Ririn explained.

"My sister Anori and I would both like to register as adventurers," Furan confirmed.

"Alright, do you have two gold coins to pay for the license test? It's one gold coin per person, but since Anori is so adorable, I'll give a special discount—just one gold coin and fifty silver."

"Sure, we'll take the test. By the way, what's the ranking system here?" Furan asked curiously.

Ririn explained the rank order:

Rank Order:

F: (The lowest and weakest level, similar to an average human)

E: (Equivalent to a prime adult human)

D: (Can lift 150kg easily)

C: (Stronger than D and capable of swift movements)

B: (Can easily demolish a house)

A: (Can destroy a large building)

A+: (Similar to A but stronger)

S: (Capable of leveling a village and damaging a city)

"The S rank is rare here, only a few people have it, and they're highly respected and admired by the empire. I hope to meet one someday," Ririn added wistfully.

"I've also heard rumors of people with power beyond S rank, though no one has proven it yet," she continued.

Ririn then prepared the equipment for the test, which included devices to check for active and passive skills, natural talent, titles/achievements, physical attributes, and potential.

Once ready, Furan and Anori were instructed to hold a cube that would automatically display their stats in a holographic display. However, the results would take about half an hour, so Ririn directed them to the waiting room.

Furan and Anori sat together, passing the time by guessing what ranks they might achieve.

"Anori, guess what rank we'll get? I hope for a B or higher," Furan said hopefully.

"It doesn't matter what rank I get, I'll stay with you, brother," Anori replied.

After waiting half an hour, the evaluation results were announced. Furan only achieved rank F due to his single healing skill and a physique equivalent to a regular human. His weak body, which lacked training, left him with minimal stamina and strength. It also seemed that his blessing skill was undetectable in the test.

"Why is my rank so low? Arrghh...Anori, I only got F…" Furan muttered with frustration, though it quickly passed.

"Anori, you got class A? I didn't realize you were this strong!" Furan exclaimed in shock as he checked her status.

Anori was incredibly powerful, with strength and endurance far beyond that of an average human. Her potential for an SS rank in the future was clear.

Unbeknownst to them, a party of adventurers was observing the new recruits. This party included one S rank, five A ranks, and two B ranks.

As Furandealt with his disappointment over his rank, Ririn explained that it was possible to increase his guild rank over time by completing missions. With dedication and reevaluation, he could eventually rank up. Another way to gain a quick promotion was to tackle high-level missions, which would not only increase his rank but also spread his reputation.

Hearing this, Furan decided to take on simpler missions first to earn some extra money.

"Anori, let's pick an easy mission," he suggested.

As they approached the mission board, the party that had been watching them approached Furan and Anori.

"Hey, little wolf girl! Join our party!" one of the members called out.

The party leader, Soge, stepped forward and looked Anori in the eyes before turning to his teammate who had just spoken.

"Why are you being so rude to her? Do you want to scare her off? Do you need to be punished?" Soge scolded in a mock-angry tone.

"Apologies, boss...please forgive me, little one. I'll buy you anything you want if you'll forgive me," the member said, facing Anori with a nervous tone.

"Did you hear that? He'll buy you anything if you forgive him. Do you want to forgive him?" Soge asked Anori with a broad smile.

"Who are you, and why are you bothering us? Just leave—" Furan said firmly but was cut off as Soge placed his hand over Furan's mouth and said softly, "Be silent, useless one."

With that, Furan fell silent, intimidated by Soge's skill, which induced intense fear in weaker opponents. After that, Soge looked back at Anori.

"Will you forgive him now? Come on, answer me..." Soge asked again.

"Yes, yes, I forgive him. It's settled now…Brother, let's go," Anori quickly replied, sensing from her instincts that this man was dangerous and best avoided.

When Anori tugged on Furan's shirt, Soge quickly kicked Furan with such force that he was flung ten meters away. Anori rushed over to Furan, spread her arms, and tried to shield him from Soge.
