Lucy's POV:
As we continued on our journey, walking deeper into the bowels of the Asmunda forest with every passing day, the trees seemingly growing taller, and the air thicker with otherworldly energy that I could feel humming through my veins, a gentle reassuring buzzing that seemed to be guiding me on our quest.
Arin fo, for some reason wa, liked ahead today, her unusually confident strides, eating up the distance. Tristan walked beside me as usual, his hand holding me reassuringly as his eyes scanned our surrounding environs, with a mixture of caution and curiosity.
For days now, I'd been feeling a sense of excitement building inside of me. We were getting ready; I could feel it in my gut. We'd picked up a piece of fabric that Tristan had recognized to be a piece of Kael's cloak.
One that he'd worn a couple of times in the palace. Even I had seen him wear it once.
