Kael's POV:
I opened my eyes very slowly, groggily trying to take in my surroundings. I found myself lying on a cold, very damp floor, my head, throbbing with excruciating pain. I tried to sit up, but the wave of extreme dizziness that washed over me almost immediately forced me back down.
As I struggled to clear my throbbing head, I suddenly realized that I was in some dimly lit, old, dusty, dingy cellar. The air was indeed very musty and dank. Since I couldn't see much, I tried to listen instead, and I discovered the sound of slowly flowing water off the walls.
How I had gotten here, I couldn't quite remember, no matter how much I struggled to. My memories were still very hazy.
All I could remember was walking down a lone, dark corridor, and then suddenly, there were footsteps behind me. Just as I was about to turn, heard a noise and then… well, nothing. Everything goes blank from there, every time.
