Ryker's POV:
I watched as the others confronted Arin, my senses on high alert. I couldn't believe it, Arin was a traitor. It was very obvious, but I don't understand how and why. She'd been a very honest and trustworthy friend since we'd met. I was beyond shocked and disappointed.
Something was definitely off about this place. I hadn't been able to shake the feeling but I'd felt it the moment we saw the waterfall. This was most definitely a trap. "We need to leave," I said, urgency in my voice.
"He's right, we can deal with Arin later, but we have to leave first, now," Tristan said, sensing the danger.
As Arin'a's expression changed, her eyes flashing with self-pity, then guilt, then anger, before finally going back to the smile, I took a step forward, putting my hand on Cormac's arm. "Cormac wait," I said, my voice very low. "It isn't worth it, we need to leave."
