Chapter - 8: Keeping My Treasures to Myself

------

The sound of fists colliding with flesh and the sharp whistle of air being sliced by rapid movements make me look up. Satori and Tatsuki are fighting. It's not a life-or-death battle, but one of those brutal brawls that erupt between two women with too much energy and too much pride to back down.

God, watching two tomboys go at it in a catfight like this is a spectacle I never thought I'd get to witness live.

And I can't deny it: those big buns bounce with a generosity that defies every law of physics. I'm not even trying to be discreet as I watch, because I'm certain no one here has the time to pay attention to me.

But I have more important things to focus on—at least for now. I'm lying on the grass, and next to me is Inoue. There's nothing strange about it. Not yet, at least.

We're just talking.

We talk about everything and nothing, reminiscing about the past, laughing at silly moments, and, every now and then, diving into more serious conversations. It's one of those rare moments where I can truly see her for who she is, without the strong-girl façade she shows to everyone else.

But I know exactly how fragile she is—like glass that could shatter into a thousand pieces at any moment, all because of a childhood scarred by physical abuse from her parents.

These childhood traumas have deeply shaped her personality, contributing to her gentle and selfless nature. Despite her struggles, she has managed to maintain a positive outlook and develop a strong sense of empathy for others.

From what I remember, her mother was a prostitute, while her father was a violent alcoholic. But after the death of her brother, she began masking her true emotions, never really showing them to anyone.

I made some space beside me, and she slipped in without hesitation.

We've known each other for a long time, after all. The contact between our bodies feels natural, almost inevitable. And then, I did something more. I don't even know exactly when it happened, but at some point, I pulled her onto my lap, my arms loosely wrapped around her in a lazy, possessive embrace.

She didn't complain, she didn't push me away.

That has to mean something, right?

I'm taking a few liberties, yeah, but I want to believe she's accepting them. That maybe, just maybe, she wants them.

Meanwhile, the fight in front of us continues. Tatsuki throws a devastating punch, Satori dodges at the last second, countering with a high kick that forces the other girl to step back.

Neither of them has any intention of giving in, their sweat glistening under the light. Their breathing is heavy and ragged, and the growing excitement makes it impossible to ignore the noticeable erection pressing against my pants.

"Not a bad show, huh?" I whisper into Inoue's ear, my voice low and amused.

She looks at me with slightly widened eyes but then shakes her head, her cheeks tinged with a soft blush, clearly understanding my sexual implication. "They seem to be having fun."

"I have to admit, I have mixed feelings. On one hand, I want to keep watching. On the other, I want to jump in and fight with them."

I won't lie—watching a catfight while playing around with a girl I like? This might be one of the best experiences I've ever had.

Nothing else compares.

And yet, she doesn't seem to have any intention of moving from my lap.

That's a good sign.

A sign that maybe, just maybe, I can push things a little further.

In fact, if I were to take just one more small liberty—like stealing a kiss or maybe groping her a little—I'm sure she'd forgive me later. Inoue is too sweet to hold a grudge. But I don't want to scare her. Not yet.

This is the moment of truth.

How much does she really like me?

Is it just friendship between us, or is there something deeper bubbling beneath the surface?

I've noticed the glances, the slight hesitations in her words, those small gestures that betray feelings she might not even fully realize herself. Ichigo has feelings for Inoue, doesn't he? Something that's 20% romantic and the rest… something deeper, harder to define.

Is it the same for us? Or is there something more?

My arm tightens slightly around her waist, an almost unconscious gesture—a way to test the boundaries of this new closeness. She tenses for a moment but then relaxes, resting her head against my shoulder.

Okay. That's definitely a good sign.

A loud impact snaps my attention back to the fight. Satori managed to block a kick with her forearm, but the force made her stagger back. Tatsuki grins, confident.

"Looks like they still have plenty of energy to keep going for a while," I murmur, letting my fingers trail along Inoue's side. She shivers slightly and gives me an unreadable look.

"Yeah…" Her voice is softer than usual. I can hear her heart pounding faster and faster. I move in closer, tilting my head just a few inches—

"Kurosaki-kun—!" As soon as I release her lips, she starts to say something, but I silence her again with another kiss.

I kissed her, grabbed her waist, and pulled her closer to me.

"Hmpf! Hm~~ Hn, ahn~"

At first, she tried to resist out of surprise, but it was useless.

She couldn't escape my firm grip, and within seconds, she melted into my arms and my mouth thanks to [Sticky Fingers]. I can't help but bully her a little…

I smile as my hands snake around her body, making her squirm beneath my touch.

"Just call me Ichigo~"

She's got a nice ass—perky and tight, even if her breasts…

I like it.

"I-Ichigo~... Not so rough~" she moans my name.

In no time, she's kissing me back, and that's when I decide to slow down—just enough to let her catch her breath.

"..."

I watch her flushed face, her slightly parted lips, and the way she pants softly, struggling to recover.

With great willpower, I hold myself back from pushing her down right then and there—to make her mine in every sense of the word.

"Throw away any other thoughts. You only need me," I say, still playing with her, still teasing her.

"N-no, Tatsuki and Satori might see us~" She tries to suppress her moans, but it's hard when I'm touching her like this. "If you don't let me go… I might seriously lose it."

She pouts, but it can't hide the obscene expression on her face.

I chuckle softly, amused by her embarrassment. "Cute…" I murmur with a mischievous smile. "Alright, just give me a kiss on the lips as a gift for today, and I'll let you go."

I'm always the one starting these intimate moments, so seeing her so flustered is nothing new. Her eyes dart around, looking for an escape route, but I remain still—waiting with a confident smirk.

I know she'll give in eventually.

And just as I expected, after a deep breath, she gathers her courage and presses a quick kiss on my lips.

"Is that good enough as a birthday gift?" she asks softly, her cheeks and ears burning red.

I smirk, leaning in close to her ear.

"Heh~, after everything we just did, you're still embarrassed about something like this?"

I love teasing her, but suddenly, I feel something behind me—

Multiple eyes staring at me.

Slowly, I lift my gaze and find Tatsuki and Satori watching me with unreadable expressions. Their eyes are empty, unmoving—like they're looking at some disgusting piece of trash straight out of a hentai.

"Oh? You two wanted to give me a birthday present too, huh?" For a moment, the atmosphere tenses, but before I can say another word, Satori steps forward with purpose, grabs my shirt, and—without warning—kisses me fiercely.

Her tongue invades my mouth without hesitation, dominating the kiss with a confidence that's almost shameless.

I can't help but enjoy it, letting myself be swept away by the heat of her body pressing against mine—and, of course, I take a generous handful of that thick, Mexican ass of hers.

When she finally pulls back, she licks her lips with a satisfied smirk. But I don't miss the slight redness on her ears, while Tatsuki clenches her fists, her face turning bright red.

I lock eyes with her and see the inner conflict playing out in her gaze. "Relax, I was just joking, Tatsuki. You don't have to do anything."

For a second, it looks like she's about to insult me, to throw one of her usual sharp comebacks my way. But then, unexpectedly, she bites her lip, mutters something under her breath, and steps forward.

"Tch! Don't think you're special..." she huffs before grabbing my collar and pulling me into a kiss just as intense.

Her tongue explores my mouth—less sure of itself than Satori's, but filled with fierce determination, almost aggressive in its desperation. I can feel the heat of her hands gripping my shirt as she gives in completely.

When she finally pulls away, her face is burning red, and she shoots me a defiant glare—like she wants me to believe it didn't mean anything to her, even though it's painfully obvious she enjoyed every second of it.

Inoue's gaze shifts between me and them, trying to process what just happened, as if something inside her had completely broken. She looks uncertain—unsure of her desires, of the thoughts swirling in her mind at that moment.

'A little manipulation is essential in a harem. Now, let's hope hentai logic takes care of the rest,' I think, licking my lips, still savoring the taste of both kisses. I glance at them with an amused smile.

"You two are really beautiful together," I say with a playful smile. Their reactions say more than a thousand words. Satori whips around, crossing her arms with a fake pout, while Tatsuki mutters a string of curses, visibly embarrassed. The soft flush on their cheeks and the way they avoid eye contact only adds to the charm of the moment.

Yeah, this birthday is turning out to be really interesting.

[Interlude]

Night had fallen over Karakura as I made my way home. The cool evening air wrapped around me, carrying the scent of damp grass and the faint aroma of night-blooming flowers.

The streets were quiet, lit only by streetlights and the glow of windows from houses still awake. As I walked, my fingers brushed my lips, replaying the kiss with the girls in my mind.

It had been an intense moment, I had to admit—I hadn't expected it. The warmth of their bodies against mine, the way they had responded to my touch... It all made me smirk to myself.

But then, I shook my head. Now wasn't the time to get lost in those thoughts. Something else—something important—was waiting for me at home.

As I turned the corner onto my street, I immediately noticed the light on in my house. They were definitely waiting for me.

I stepped inside quietly, trying not to make too much noise, but before I could even shut the door— "ICHIGOOOO! You're finally home!" I didn't even have time to react before he lunged at me with a flying kick—as always.

With a sidestep, I dodged the attack, letting him crash into the couch. Karin and Yuzu, sitting at the table, shook their heads with a sigh.

"Dad, enough with the theatrics," Karin said, not even looking away from the TV.

"Ichigo always wins, so why do you keep trying?" Yuzu added with a giggle, while I noticed she was clearly preparing a cake for me.

Isshin stood up, pretending nothing had happened, and grinned at me far too smugly.

"So, son, I wanted to give you your present this morning, but you were off having fun with your little lady friends—"

I rolled my eyes. "Dad..."

Before he could continue, the sound of a knife forcefully hitting the cutting board made me jump. I looked up and saw Yuzu smiling sweetly, but the way she gripped the knife said something completely different.

For a split second, I thought I saw a glimmer of pure jealousy in her eyes. "I'm perfectly fine," she said with that same too-sweet smile, returning to mixing the batter. Then, as if nothing had happened, she giggled, "I won't let those stupid girls take my big brother away."

I raised an eyebrow. "What are you talking about?" I asked casually, playing dumb—just like every respectable shōnen protagonist.

Yuzu didn't answer. She simply focused on the cake she was preparing, while Karin shook her head with an amused smirk.

Meanwhile, Isshin cleared his throat dramatically to regain my attention. "I have something very special for you." From his pocket, he pulled out a small package wrapped in dark blue cloth and handed it to me, his usual goofy expression replaced by something more serious.

"This belonged to your mother..." For a moment, I stayed silent, forcing myself not to smirk. I took the item from his hands and loosened the knot in the fabric, revealing what lay inside—

A silver amulet with a familiar shape.

A Quincy Cross... The five-pointed symbol gleamed under the kitchen light, its reflection caught in everyone's eyes.

I stared at it, fingers tracing the cool metal. "This was Mom's?" I asked quietly. I was good—maybe I should consider an acting career—because deep down, I already knew the answer.

Isshin nodded. "Yes. And now it's yours. I don't know if you'll ever be able to use it, but I felt it was right for you to have it." His voice was serious, a stark contrast to his usual clownish behavior.

I knew he wasn't telling me everything. He had probably noticed my nightly outings, and if he was in contact with Kisuke, he knew my spiritual power was still growing. Maybe he wanted to test me. Or maybe, deep down, he was just waiting for me to bring it up first.

Holding the object in my hands, I suddenly felt closer to her. The cool metal of the amulet seemed to pulse slightly, as if it still carried a trace of her presence.

I kept it in my palm, letting its significance settle inside me. "Thanks, Dad," I finally said, carefully tucking it into the inner pocket of my jacket. "I'll put it to good use."

Isshin smiled, but I caught a flicker of sadness in his eyes. For a brief moment, the usual clown act was gone, replaced by something deeper—a glimpse of his past as a former captain of the Gotei 13.

Then, as if to break the tension, he clapped me on the shoulder—hard enough to make me stagger slightly.

"I know, Ichigo. I know." He took a deep breath, then suddenly waved his hands around in exaggerated theatrics. But enough with the serious stuff! Dinner is almost ready, and I want to see you cry tears of joy over Yuzu's amazing cake!"

I sighed, shaking my head and just like that, the solemn atmosphere of the moment disappeared, bringing everything back to the usual, chaotic normalcy.
