Valerie screeched to a sudden halt in front of LCPD. As she clutched onto the steering several images rushed through her mind.
She breathed in as many times as she could but still couldn't erase the emotional pain, she felt which increased her grip even more. She finally managed to regain her composure, and she stepped out of the vehicle.
She straightened her hair and walked into the building. "Hello, hi. Please I am here for Mr. Damone." she said to one of the officers as soon as she reached the desk. "And you are?" "Valerie Hansley, his girlfriend." she replied stuttering. "Francis Damone'?" he asked. "yes" she replied.
He took out a huge binder and searched for his name. He found it and ticked one of the boxes beside it. He then led her through a narrow hallway straight to Francis' cell.
He took out a bunch of keys and unlocked a huge metal door. He nodded to her, and she walked through. "Press the button when you are done." He said pointing to a red button on the wall. She nodded with contentment. She took a few steps forward and stood in front of his cell. "Hey babe" she said with a smile which later gave way to little tears.
Francis who was curled up in the corner immediately rushed to her as soon as he heard her voice. "You came." "of course I did. How are you doing?" she asked. "I need a lawyer. you need to get me out of here." he said ignoring her question.
"It is not going to be easy. He still in coma battling for his life." she said softly. His countenance changed to that of remorse, but it quickly faded away.
"You need to convince him to let me go." He pleaded. "You can do something about it" "what exactly?" he asked drawing closer. "He needs a blood donor immediately. You are the only one available with his blood type." she stated.
"You need to save him, you have to" she asked trying to hold his hands through the bars, but he backed off. "I'd rather die than give my blood to that imbecile." "Then you are surely going to rot in here..." she said with a frown
"Quit acting concerned. we both know you only care about that Gerald guy." he retorted. "That is not true. I care about you, and you know that." "Liar! I should have done better with the knife. Maybe you won't be so certain." "Certain about what? tell me. You literally stabbed the most powerful man in Laneczia. How do you plan on getting out of this situation without my plan."
He remained silent unable to answer, "with you of course. You got me into this mess, you are going to get me out of it too." he said with a sinister grin. She tried to move back but he held her neck brought her in closer. She tried to breathe and gasped for air, but he still wouldn't let go.
"Get me out of here honey, or I will do way worse than before" he said tightening his grip. She tried to break free but was no match for his strength. She managed to kick him in the groin through the bars. He yelped with pain and let go of her. "You are crazy." She yelled at him. "Yes, for you!" he said with a devilish laughter. "Then donate the blood. That is the only way." she reasoned "Fine.! Arrange everything. Tell them I want sixty million dollars in exchnge for it." "Are you insane. That is way too much money."
"Yes but he is a trillionaire. This shouldnt be hard. Its just a piece of cake. Unless..." "Fine. but you should kniw this Francis, when you make a pact with the devil he always comes back to collect his dues." she said with a tinge of fright in her tone."
"Hmm.... interesting. Oh I just realized, I am the devil." he said with another sinister grin. She shrieked back in horror and mistakenly pressed the button. It sent a signal to the officer and he came rushing down immediately.
She shook her head and quickly raced out of the inner base through the hallway and out of the building.
