Chapter 8 - Chapter - 7 : Crafting a world

System Alert:

[You have received a starting bonus of 300 DP*]

(DP - Divine Power)

[Select the size of the world you would like to build]

1. Tiny – Sanctuaries for masters or high-tier gods. (Diameter: 2000 km)

2. Small – Ideal for creating large numbers of small beings or followers for quick DP. (Diameter: 4000 km)

3. Medium – Balanced size for stable growth and development. (Diameter: 10,000 km)

4. Large – Vast landscapes and diverse ecosystems. (Diameter: 18,000 km)

5. Gigantic – A grand world with colonies and towering giants. (Diameter: 30,000 km)

Zephry studied the options displayed on the screen floating before him, his finger hovering for a moment before selecting the fourth option. "Let's go for a large world," he said, imagining the sprawling lands and untapped resources such a realm could offer.

Clark, his ever-present advisor, nodded approvingly. "A solid choice, Master Zephry. Large worlds allow for greater potential diversity and stability. They're challenging to maintain, but the rewards are substantial."

Zephry's excitement grew as the next prompt appeared.

[What kind of world do you wish to build?]

1. Qi World (350 DP): A world where the life force known as Qi flows through all things, enabling individuals to cultivate strength, longevity, and control over elements.

2. Elemental Affinity World (200 DP): A realm where each being is born with a natural connection to an element, such as fire, water, earth, or air, shaping their abilities and societies.

3. Mana World

High Concentration (500 DP): This world would be saturated with mana. Its inhabitants would possess an inherent magical talent, with geniuses emerging every decade. Expect societies driven by magic, brimming with mythical creatures, floating islands, and rapid magical advancements—but with the risk of devastating conflicts.

Medium Concentration (300 DP): Mana flows through this world, but requires more effort to harness. While magic exists, it's balanced with technology, leading to hidden communities, ancient ruins, and magical artifacts waiting to be uncovered.

Low Concentration (150 DP): Mana is scarce, making magic precious and rare. Magic users are revered or feared, often shrouded in secrecy. This world would focus on rediscovering lost magic, with power struggles between magic users and technological societies.

Variable Concentration (400 DP): Mana fluctuates across this world, with regions of high magic and areas where mana is dormant. This could create nomadic magical communities, conflicts over mana-rich zones, and ecosystems uniquely adapted to mana's ebb and flow.

Zephry's brow furrowed as he considered his options. "They seem cheap, don't you think, Clark?"

Clark cleared his throat. "For you, perhaps, Master. Most new masters start with only 300 DP, sometimes granted by a previous master. Your predecessor only had enough to create a low mana world, and he worked tirelessly to reach his current status."

Zephry tilted his head, intrigued. "So, should I go for a high mana world? It sounds powerful, and it could give me a strong foundation."

Clark raised a hand, cautioning. "High mana worlds certainly show rapid development, especially in the early stages. But they're prone to self-destruction due to the intensity of internal conflicts. I would recommend a medium mana world—stable, yet capable of growth."

Zephry clicked his tongue, unimpressed. "A medium mana world sounds dull. I want excitement, not a slow progression. I'll go with the Variable Mana World, then. I like the idea of regions with fluctuating magic—places of peace and places of chaos, each shaping the beings that live there."

Clark's lips curved into a small smile. "An interesting choice, Master. A variable world indeed carries both potential and challenge."

Zephry selected the Variable Mana World option.

The world began to form beneath them, vast and empty at first, slowly filling with land, water, and air. Zephry and Clark observed from above, as the world began its circulation around a colossal star, its fiery warmth sparking the planet's life. Basic plant forms emerged, spreading green across the continents. Soon after, animal species appeared, influenced by magic's flux—some creatures grew as large as 20 meters, towering on land, while in the seas, monstrous forms swam in the depths, hiding mysteries and powers.

Zephry marveled, his eyes sparkling with fascination. "It's quite a spectacle to watch life begin. What possibilities lie ahead?"

Clark nodded, watching as plants and animals adapted to their environment. "Indeed, Master. Life is resilient and will grow in unexpected ways, especially with the variable mana influencing it."

After a moment, the system's voice returned, listing the beings available to populate the world.

[Species to be Introduced]

1. Ancient Dragon Hatchling (300 DP): A male or female guardian born of mana, tasked with preserving balance. Dragons are revered for their wisdom and power, often leaving legendary artifacts behind.

2. Elves (100 DP for 10 - 3M, 7F): Mystical beings with longevity, deeply connected to nature and the flow of magic.

3. Dwarves (70 DP for 12 - 7M, 5F): Renowned craftsmen, experts in enchanting artifacts and creating subterranean cities.

4. Humans (30 DP for 101 - 51M, 50F): Adaptive and ambitious, known for excelling in both magic and technological innovation.

5. Goblins (15 DP for 110 - 80M, 30F): Resourceful tricksters who thrive in hidden realms, skilled in scavenging.

6. Giants (90 DP for 6 - 3M, 3F): Massive beings with brute strength, often worshipped as ancient protectors or feared as destroyers.

7. Beast-Hybrids (50 DP for 20 - 10M, 10F): Beings with both human and animal traits, divided into classes based on their secondary animal nature.

The list continued, each species offering unique qualities, but Zephry's attention was immediately caught by the first option.

"A dragon," he muttered, his gaze fixed on the Ancient Dragon Hatchling. "So, I can have a dragon right from the start?"

Clark replied, "Yes, sir. Though most masters can't afford one immediately. Many opt for divine beasts under the guise of guardians for some god."

Zephry smirked. "But I have enough DP, right? Let's start with a dragon."

"Certainly, Master. It will be a powerful asset, guiding the balance of your world from its very beginning."

Zephry selected the Ancient Dragon Hatchling, spending 300 DP. A young dragon slumbering deep within a mountain range, its body emanating a faint glow of mana, radiating stability and mystique has born into the world. Other creatures would eventually find their way to it, perhaps creating myths around its presence.

Afterward, Zephry browsed through the remaining species, choosing to introduce beast-hybrids, humans, dwarves, and elves, each in small, scattered groups across the world. He placed the dwarves in mountainous regions rich in minerals, the elves within dense forests humming with magic, and humans in varied landscapes to test their adaptability. The beast-hybrids were spread across savannahs and jungles, blending human cunning with animal instincts.

Each group start their journey differently, some chose to rome the vast lands while some chose to settle down forming the seeds of societies that would one day flourish—or fall. Zephry observed their initial interactions, noticing some species naturally avoided one another, while others competed for resources or formed primitive alliances.
