Chapter 14 - Chapter - 13 : The first kingdom

1100 years after the start of the world, the first human kingdom, Velgranis, was established by the unification of three prominent human tribes. The chiefs of these tribes worked together to lay the foundation of the kingdom and appointed Emrys Solvainar as the first king. Despite his title, most of the political power remained concentrated in the hands of the three newly titled dukes—the former tribe chiefs. The kingdom's capital, Granier, quickly became a hub of activity and administration.

With the kingdom's formation, scattered human villages, separated for generations, were reunited under a single banner. The kingdom introduced agriculture to these communities, teaching them how to cultivate crops effectively. In return, these villages sent a portion of their harvest to the capital. To ensure the safety of these settlements, soldiers from Granier raided surrounding regions to eliminate monsters and secure the area.

As food security increased, so did the prosperity of the central continent's human population. Talented individuals began to emerge, taking up roles beyond basic survival. Occupations like blacksmithing, carpentry, and other crafts flourished. A barter system based on grains became the foundation of economic exchange.

1111 years since beginning of world

Imperial Year 1 (IY 1):

The royal family introduced a new calendar system, the Imperial Calendar

This year also saw the discovery of gold, which, along with silver and copper, became the first currency of the kingdom.

IY 3:

The kingdom made its first contact with the elves, a mysterious and magical race. However, tensions quickly arose, and elves were declared hostile. Humans classified them as "monsters" and treated them as a threat to their expansion.

IY 5:

The king awarded the title of "The First Mage" to an individual named Serina, whose contributions to magic were unparalleled. With royal approval, she established the Magic Towers, a new organization dedicated to researching and advancing magical knowledge. Promising individuals with magical potential were encouraged to join, fostering the kingdom's progress in the arcane arts.

IY 8:

A standardized written script was developed by royal scholars and philosophers, allowing for better communication, record-keeping, and the dissemination of knowledge across the kingdom.

IY 10:

The kingdom established its first naval shipyard on the western coast, leading to the creation of a naval settlement. This marked the beginning of Velgranis' maritime ambitions. While exploring the mountains for metals, humans encountered dwarves, who became their first allies. A trade agreement was struck: the dwarves provided advanced weaponry in exchange for rice and other crops.

IY 11:

The royal family organized its first imperial expedition to the eastern regions, led by the second prince of Velgranis. This marked the beginning of human exploration and expansion beyond the central continent.

Zephry, overseeing the events as the orchestrator of the world, was growing increasingly irritated.

"Central continent guys are the first to do an expedition. Urgh." Zephry grumbled, rolling his eyes. "Again, they're first. What's next?"

Clark, his loyal assistant, chimed in, "The eastern continent humans are lagging behind in everything except magic development, my lord."

Zephry scoffed. "Yeah, yeah, I know. That's thanks to Aric, my disciple. But still, how can they be so behind in everything else? They've even got the protection of that griffin I gave them from the monsters. They're physically strong too."

Clark responds. "I believe the issue lies in greed, my lord. The central continent humans, especially the three dukes, have greed that drives their progress. Their greed, combined with the intellect of King Emrys and Koji's influence, has resulted in their exceptional growth."

Zephry frowned, but a smirk tugged at his lips. "The eastern continent's problem lies in their blind worship of that griffin. Things only got worse when it evolved into a high griffin right in the middle of their settlement. In broad daylight! The look on their faces was priceless," he added with a chuckle.

Clark nodded thoughtfully. "It seems their faith in the griffin stifles their initiative, my lord. Their dependence on it limits their progress but only to a certain extent after all they manged to do almost everything these cental continent humans have done but just behimd them"

"Let's see how the imperial expedition pans out," Zephry mused, staring at the screen. "Are they heading north, where the humans are, or south, to the beastmen?"

"It seems they are heading north, my lord," Clark replied after a moment.

"Interesting. We'll see how it unfolds. But first, let's check on the orcs in the northwest of the central continent," Zephry said, leaning forward.

The orcs were a species Zephry introduced after time acceleration. His intention was to control the rapid population growth of humans, as an unchecked increase might trigger the system to upgrade prematurely. Zephry wanted to avoid this outcome, preferring to remain unnoticed for as long as possible.

Over the years, the orcs had grown into a thriving population of 2,000–3,000 individuals. They occupied a vast camp hidden within the forests of the central continent's northwest region. The humans of Velgranis had recently discovered this camp and were actively preparing to launch a raid.

The human soldiers awaited the king's orders to proceed. Meanwhile, scouts reported detailed observations of the orc camp: large bonfires, crude weapons, and what appeared to be organized leadership among the orcs. While humans viewed them as savage monsters, the orcs were showing signs of a budding society but nothing mlre than primitive.

Zephry watched this development with amusement. "The humans think they're just mindless brutes, but the orcs have potential. Let's see if the humans can handle this without too many losses."

Meanwhile, the imperial expedition ventured into the northern reaches of the eastern continent. This region was sparsely populated.Rumors of a human settlement hidden in the mountains spurred the expedition forward.

The current king of the kingdom of Navami endric have received a report from his scouts that humans have been spotted at the western shore.

The report Endric received about humans at the western shore intrigued him. As the King of Navami, he had long wondered if their isolated continent was truly the extent of humanity's reach. Now, it seemed that question had been answered. However, it raised more questions than it solved. Were these new arrivals allies, or were they a potential threat?

Endric called for an immediate council meeting. The grand hall of the royal palace was soon filled with the dukes, military commanders, and scholars.
