Elena is told not to pack anything because there's going to be clothes over at her new home and she can already guess as to what type of clothes she's going to be wearing. Regal, classy and less human, more fairy-like. She's going to miss her old clothes but she also cannot wait to try out the new clothes.
What can she say? She loves clothes, shopping is one of her many hobbies.
She's wearing what she thinks would be seen as acceptable and fairy-like right now. She has her hair all straightened out and she has a white headband on her head. She's wearing a pink suit with a pink skirt white leggings and flats. She places her hand on the doorknob and she looks around her room to take it all in. This is the last time she's going to be seeing her room. This is going to be her last time here.
She remembers all the time she spent in here. From her mom and dad reading her bedtime stories to her and Alex jumping on her bed and to her and Naomi having sleepovers together in her room.
The N-word, she doesn't even want to think about it. It's too depressing and wrong to even think about.
But overall she's going to miss this place and the UK, well, the one on earth at least.
She lets out a small sad smile and she walks out of the room and closes the door. She always thought she'd have her Hannah Montana moment when she moved from her old home when she leaves for University but she's having it now. Not to University but to another planet entirely.
She heads downstairs and is about to get into the living room but she bumps into Pierre who is also about to get into the living room.
"Sorry." they both say in unison. Blushing at the sight of their faces.
"Please, you first," Pierre says to her Elena thanks him and walks into the living room and she can't help but think. Not only is he handsome but he's also a gentleman. She doesn't think she's the only one who has a little crush on him. She's sure when the girls found out he and the princess of Russia broke up they were beyond thrilled. She would be too.
"Good morning," she says to Alex and her dad. She spent the whole day yesterday with her best friend and the man who risked everything to come to earth and raise her. She didn't once leave the house. She just wanted to spend her last days here with her dad.
"Good morning princess. Did you sleep well?" he asks and she nods her head.
"Are you ready?" Alex asks and Elena looks at him and then she sighs. "Ready as I'll ever be."
"Okay, come along. I'll drop you guys off at the station." he walks ahead and Elena and Alex walk side by side next to each other following their dad out of the house. When Elena walks out she spots someone headed toward her. Someone she vowed never to see again.
Elena rolls her eyes.
"You've got to be kidding me," she mutters, annoyed. Naomi doesn't seem to care that Elena looks angry that she's walking toward her right now. She wants to apologize because she thinks what she did was wrong. She wants to make amends she doesn't want Elena to hate her forever.
Elena crosses her arms and looks straight at her.
"What do you want?" she asks her and Naomi, who has always been a confident person begins to play with her fingers nervously.
She says hi to Patrick he replies but when she says hi to Alex he doesn't reply instead he just looks at her the same way Elena is looking at her, Alex's loyalty to his best friend never falters. Pierre on the other hand is just confused.
"I sent you a bunch of texts," she says to Elena. "Did you see them?"
"No," Elena says without hesitation, she did see the texts and Naomi knows she did so why is she asking if she saw the texts?
"Well, I sent you a lot of text messages apologizing." she stops talking then she looks away from her she can't even look Elena in the eye. She just won't do that but she has to try if she wants to give a genuine apology.
"Look, I know what I did was fucked up and I'm not expecting you to forgive me because God knows I don't deserve it. But please I beg you Elena I did not mean to hurt you. I'm not going to blame Nicholas for hitting on me and making me feel special I'm going to blame myself because I allowed it to happen and I went behind your back and I'm sorry." She says and she waits for Elena to say something. Elena just looks away from her with a scowl on her face.
Naomi should have known that this was a waste of time. But she didn't come expecting Elena to forgive her anyway. She came to apologize because it's the least she can do.
Naomi turns around to leave and Elena is fighting the urge to call her and forgive her. At least she made an effort to even come to the house, it shows that she's really sorry. Nick is nowhere to be found.
"Wait!" Elena yells and Naomi quickly turns around. Elena rolls her eyes and walks toward her. She just figured that not forgiving her when she's leaving is not a good idea and she has to at least consider the fact that she will not be seeing Naomi again. She might be angry at her but she doesn't hate her. This is her best friend after all.
"Look, what you did broke my heart. You shattered it into pieces you and Nick. I was a wreck the other night. And I know you're sorry and I can't leave with an unforgiving heart."
Naomi looks at her in shock then looks at Alex. Patrick and Pierre and she sees they're all standing by the car.
"You're leaving?"
"Yeah, I'm going to Alex's school."
"The boarding school in Spain?" She asks and Elena nods. The boarding school in Spain was a lie to cover up the fact that Alex is still in the UK but not the UK on this planet but on another planet entirely.
"Is it- is it because of me?" she asks almost in tears.
"No, of course not we've been planning this for years."
"But we've talked about Prom together and graduating."
"Something came up and I have to go there early."
"Oh." she simply says. Elena can feel the disappointment coming out of her. She sighs and places her hands on Naomi's shoulders.
"Look Naomi, I forgive you. I forgive you because you're my best friend and you are sorry for what you did. Nick didn't show up at my house to ask for forgiveness but you did. I forgive you."
Tears roll down Naomi's cheek and she hugs Elena. Elena hesitates but she hugs her back. She tries hard not to cry but she is getting a bit emotional. She releases Naomi and looks her in the eye.
"Have a nice life, Naomi," she says then she walks away. While Alex takes the front seat of the car she and Pierre take the backseat.
Patrick starts the car and then drives off. Elena looks backwards and sees that Naomi is still standing there watching until the car goes away. Elena looks behind her until she no longer sees her. She sits up straight. She can't deny the fact that she's going to miss her.
"I'm proud of you." her dad says.
They're at the train station and this is where the magic happens. Elena has only seen Alex walk into the train station she hasn't followed him inside to see the process of how someone can easily get to another planet. She's about to witness that now.
"Alright, kids. This is it." Patrick says and Elena hugs her dad. "I'm gonna miss you kiddo."
"I'm going to miss you too Dad," she says and then Patrick releases her quickly because he fears that if he hugs her for too long then he's never going to let her go.
He hugs Alex next. "I'm always proud of you."
"I know."
Patrick gives Pierre a handshake. "Thanks for saving my daughter," he says to her.
"Just doing my job sir," Pierre says with a shrug.
"Alright you guys take care of each other alright." they all nod and they walk away from him Elena still looking at him.
Alex brings out purple pixie dust, the pixie dust of transportation that can take someone from one dimension to the other or from one country to the other. There are Magi here but they're not allowed to tell anyone about magic. The first Magi to introduce a human to magic was punished by not the people but by the Gods. They're the reason witches exist in this world.
They can live on any planet but they're not allowed to expose themselves.
Alex blows the pixie dust and the whole world stops. Well, the people who are human stop in time while a train forms before her very eyes. It's magical and technological at the same time. Elena gets in and so does Alex and Pierre. The door closes on its own. Elena doesn't know if that's magic or technology or both. She turns to the window to wave her father goodbye before the train disappears. He does the same. And when the train senses the people are aboard it zooms off. She no longer sees Patrick.
"Goodbye, Dad."
