Elena has been around the castle. She has seen the large library filled with so many different books from fictional to non-fictional. She's been to the different living rooms, the dance room, the music room, and the playroom where her cousins force her to play with them, they play some basketball and dance on that dance machine but they do it in the air. Which is a whole new experience for her, it's not flying with wings but it's close.
She goes to the kitchen and meets the Chefs. They're all so nice, all the servants are nice and are treated with respect.
Then she goes to the ballroom where the magic happens. She looks around in awe because they're already setting the place up for her ball tomorrow. Everyone's going to be coming to see her. Especially the Monarchs from different countries. They're setting up the tables and decorating the hall. She's going to be at a ball, she's finally going to be at a ball. And she's the centre of attention she's the reason why they're having this ball.
She can't believe it but then again she can because she's a princess. Elena can already imagine what the ball will look like. Everyone all dressed up, chattering and dancing. She wonders what she's going to wear, she cannot wait to see what she's going to wear.
She leaves the ballroom and they head over to the training room when they get there Alex and Pierre have swords clashing against each other. They look so focused and dedicated. That's until Pierre sees Elena and Alex uses that distraction as an opportunity to get Pierre to the ground.
He points the sword at Pierre triumphantly.
"Maybe we should go see the next room," Elena whispers to Adele and they both leave with Elena leaving way quicker than Adele.
Adele doesn't question the sudden haste so she takes her to the next room which is her room.
"This is my room!?" Elena says in shock as she looks around the place.
"Of course."
"Whoa," Elena says looking around. The room is large with a large king-sized bed in the room, a balcony, a table filled with beauty care products and a large walk-in closet. She opens up the closet and she tries her best not to scream. There are a lot of clothes here, beautiful ones and shoes she likes and also accessories.
But wait these clothes look her size and everything in here she likes. How were they so accurate in looking for the things she likes?
She walks out of the closet and faces Adele.
"How did you know what I would like?" she asks her.
"Why it is all thanks to your best friend Alex." She says with a smile then Elena walks back into the walk-in closet and she looks around with a smile on her face. She thought she loved Alex then, she loves him even more now. He's such a lifesaver and she's going to plant a thousand kisses on his cheeks whether he likes it or not.
She looks for the ballgowns she's going to be wearing to the ball but she only sees casual clothes in here. She has been shopping all her life and she loves clothes so she can say that she can easily spot a waistcoat, a party gown and a ball gown. And she sees party gowns and waistcoats but no ballgowns.
She steps out of the closet.
"What about the ballgown for tomorrow?" she asks Olga.
"Oh, don't worry about that, they'll be sent to you tomorrow before the ball and you're going to have to pick one."
Elena smiles nodding her head.
She's done with the closet and she heads over to the bathroom and it's so clean and sparkly. There's a hot tub in the middle of the bathroom and a shower place. Everywhere's so pretty. She loves this room and she loves her new life. Even if it's just day one.
She slowly walks out of the bathroom smiling.
"So, you love it?" Adele asks her.
"Yes."
The next day Elena wakes up as early as possible. She slept like a baby last night. It was all so peaceful and her bed is so comfortable. She looks around her and no it was not a dream. She's actually here in Euroix. All the years of imagining herself in this world and she's here finally. And there's going to be a ball for her tonight.
She remembers telling Naomi that she's going to be attending a ball in her lifetime a lot of times and here she is about to attend a ball. If only Naomi could see her now, but she can't because she's human no human around here.
Elena gets up from her bed, she's in a silver-coloured silk dress and a white robe. She heads over to the balcony. She breathes in the morning air and she lets it all out. The sun, giving her energy as usual. She loves the outdoors. If she could sleep outside she would. The birds are chirping and that alone gives her peace.
She looks down to see Pierre jogging. She watches him jog and she hopes he doesn't look up and falls. But what did yesterday mean when he got distracted by her presence in the training room? Does that mean he likes her?
Her thoughts are interrupted when she hears people in her room. It's Adele's voice, she walks away from the balcony and she sees Adele with a clipboard and a bunch of maids walking into the bathroom to start the bath.
"First, you're going to have a bath then breakfast then you're going to go to the dressing room to pick what ballgown you want to wear. And then we're going to get you ready for the ball. How does that sound?"
Elena nods "I love that plan." she says. "You're the boss."
"I am aren't I?"
Elena giggles.
Elena and Adele head over to the dressing room. To Elena's excitement, her jaw drops and her eyes widen noticeably her excitement makes the maids there happy. Seeing her face beam as her eyes move from ballgown to ballgown. Ballgowns of different shapes designs and colors. Empire waist gowns, mermaid gowns, A-line gowns and so much more
She knows she's to pick one but she wants to pick every dress here.
"Fashion designer, Josephine De Bourboun designed these. She wanted you to have them all and pick whichever one suits you for the ball." Adele says. "She'll be at the ball so you're going to thank her there once you see her."
"Of course," Elena says in a happy tone she doesn't even look Adele's way, her eyes are glued to the gowns, beautiful beautiful gowns. She moves forward toward the mannequins wearing the gowns. She looks at the ruby red gown and she can picture herself wearing it but it doesn't seem like the right fit. She wants to wear something that feels like she has just arrived. This is just a welcome-back ball, it's not an engagement ball or anything.
She just wants to look good, simple, a princess.
So she moves toward the pink tulle satin ball gown sewn with sequins. Has a sweetheart's neck and lace-up back and then just under it are sparkly silver heels. This is perfect.
"This," she says.
"Are you sure?" Adele asks.
"Yes." Elena is positive.
"This will look good on you miss." The maids say excitedly.
"Okay, then let's get the dress and get you ready." Adele claps her hands and the maids pack up the dress and the shoes. Elena and Adele walk out of the room she cannot wait to try the dress on.
Elena has never received this much pampering ever. They put on her makeup, do her hair and they give her a manicure. They apply some beauty products to her skin.
When they're done she opens her eyes and she might not have her wings out but she looks like a fairy. The golden eyeshadow, the pink lip gloss, the blush everything is perfect. Now, it's time for her to try the dress on. The part she has been waiting for.
She puts the dress on and goes straight for the full-length mirror and she cannot believe what she's seeing. She looks so much like a princess, it's almost like her past human self is gone and her fairy side has killed her off. Her fairy side is here to stay. But does that mean she will never see Earth again? Will she still see her dad?
"Now, for the finishing touch," Adele says placing a crystal tiara on her head. Now, she looks more like a princess.
She lets out a wide grin. "Much better, she says."
She looks out the balcony and she sees loads of people have come in their limos just to welcome her to Euroix. Now, she's a bit nervous she wants to see Alex so he can calm her nerves. She's never been this nervous but these are important people, she cannot make any mistake this night. A good impression is very important.
"Elena," Adele calls her name. Elena looks at her. "It's time," she says and Elena sighs and slowly walks toward her, they both walk out of the perfume-scented room.
"I know you're a bit nervous, but there's nothing to be nervous about. You'll be just fine I promise you," she says and that calms Elena down, a little bit.
"Thank you, Adele."
"Oh, I'm just doing my job. Which I'm good at." she winks and Elena chuckles.
They both walk to the entrance that leads to the ballroom. She stops and then she looks at the curtain in front of her. "Okay, I'm going to count to three and when I do you're going to walk through that curtain. Got it?"
Elena nods. "Got it." she's ready.
"Okay, here it goes. Three, two, one go!"
