Chapter 2 - Unknown World

He felt extremely weak, as if all strength had drained from his body—like he hadn't eaten in days.

"Damn, why am I so weak?" He muttered. But after looking carefully, he noticed something strange. His body felt different. His hands and feet looked off—there wasn't a single sign of the training or muscle he'd built over the years. That was impossible. He had undergone physical transformations that made him far stronger than an average human.

But now he felt his body was entirely different and couldn't help a creepy feeling start to develop within his mind.

Gathering all his strength, he slowly walked out of the old hut. When he stepped outside, he was surprised by what he saw: a clear sky with a fresh, gentle breeze, and fertile land filled with trees and plants.

This view shocked him, as the planet he was on was half destroyed and had become wastelands for thousands of years, without a clear sky, air, and fertile land.

"What place is this?" He couldn't help but feel utterly confused about the current situation. As he was feeling confused and a bit overwhelmed by the current situation, someone from the village noticed him and quickly came to him.

"Ash, are you alright? I heard you were ill and resting," a young man, around seventeen or eighteen years old with a slightly rough face and old, worn-out clothes, asked, a hint of worry on his face.

"Ash?" He felt confused as he didn't know him, but from his expression, he seems to know him well and was genuinely worried.

Changed physique, an unknown place, and some unfamiliar guy caring for me... F**k, could this be like one of those trashy, delusional novels... Reincarnation?!

"Shit!" Now he can be sure, he might really have reincarnated, as he didn't think his weak ass could survive a nanogrenade at point blank range.

He needed a mirror or something similar, and then he would be completely sure. Their language seems to be the same, so it wasn't a problem to communicate and quickly asked about mirror.

"Mirror?" The young man standing beside couldn't help but feel weird still since Ash asked him; he led him to his place as he had a mirror.

The mirror was old and yellow with age, but that didn't matter to him. All he cared about was seeing his face—he wasn't planning on doing makeup, after all.

"This, sigh!" The moment he looked at the old mirror, he accepted his fate. His face was different, although it has some similarities, but it was different, not to mention he wasn't a middle-aged man, but looking at his pale, weak face, he can judge he should be seventeen or eighteen years old.

He looked pale and weak, who can be blown away by winds, and the only thing good is that his face wasn't bad. With some care, after handling his body well, he should be able to seduce some lonely milfs who needed saving.

"Hmm." After confirming the cliché plot, he understood his current situation. But since he didn't seem to have any memories of this body, the first thing he needed to do was figure out who he was and what kind of place this village was. Only then could he plan his future.

As for revenge, that would have to wait—he knew he wouldn't be able to do anything about it anytime soon. He was fairly certain he was on a different planet, as the one from his previous life had been devastated beyond repair.

"Are you okay?" The young man beside him interrupted his thoughts. "Since you're awake now, you have to follow the training. You can't rest, or the instructor will get angry."

"Instructor?" He showed a confused look.

"Ash, did you forget before you suddenly became ill, we were going to start training?" The young, rough guy said, looking at him.

"Ahh, training in his current condition? And what kind of training he didn't feel any evolver energy within his body."

He didn't remember anything, so he can only silently follow him before eating a piece of dry, coarse bread barely filling his stomach.

With his small talks and pretending to be fizzy because of the illness, he learnt some information.

First, it seems to be a backward place, and technology seems to not have developed; it is more like old historical times without electricity or any modern tools or items.

Their clothes are clearly handmade, and everything is like some old movie set that was famous before the cataclysm in his previous life.

The village they were in is called Black Iron Village because their mine of Black Iron is near the village, which surprised him a bit because even in his previous life, Black Iron was a popular ore used in many creations like mechas, armour, or weapons.

So, he couldn't help but feel surprised because, according to what he learnt, black iron ore only appeared after the cataclysm due to an environment mutation. But here it seems to be available naturally.

A few minutes later, they arrived at the large open field, where he already saw twenty-something guys of similar age already gathered.

According to Adam, the young guy who led him here, they were going to learn martial arts, which was also famous in his previous life because it was the most openly available path of transcendent power.

At that moment, a middle-aged but tall, sturdy man with thick muscles appeared in the large field. Seeing him, the group quickly stood in rows, not daring to show any sign of disrespect—they were clearly afraid of him.

The instructor glanced over everyone, and his gaze finally stopped on Ash, who felt as if he were being stared down by a fierce tiger.

But after a brief moment, the instructor shifted his attention and began the training session.

"Hmm, you are all going to follow the same movements, but since we have today a new guy, I am going to show you the basic technique again. So watch it clearly."
